I love this article. And I am very grateful to this woman. I've been reading and re-reading it for many years... I use it as a ruler to measure my development towards Individuation.
Agreed, yet to become more involved in your personal development, start recording your dreams... you will likely see a pattern that speaks to issues or concerns in your life. I find that my daily dreams portray mind/emotional problems that I want, or need, to repair or understand. It takes work and attention.I think this is the reason that a Jungian therapist is important. It's difficult to always be moving forward when doing dream work alone.

The world loves the dream but hates the dreamer bc when you're the first to do it the jealousy and hate can be heavy but no matter what I continue to move forward.
The Roman who was convicting Christ stated I know he is only here due to others envy. The unconscious desires to become conscious to the ego yet it fights to remain unconscious in a paradoxical manner. Here’s the fruit don’t eat it!
I would love to meet with an equal number of Jungians and Freudians to go through the major theories of each school. I believe that the thinking of Jung and Freud can be updated. My psychoanalysis began with a Freudian, which remained nresolved. 20 years later, I decided to give analysis another go - self-directed, following a breakup from my 12 year significant other. Dreams have been my major source of focus. I believe I was viewed favorably by the divine beings, who decided to give me a helping hand. I seemed to be going around and around, leading nowhere. This is when I had my one and only Out-of-body experience. (Nothing similar to Jung's out of body experience or vision!) However, my OBD provided the breakthrough. It took another 4 years, or so, to achieve Individuation. Reading Jung gave me the insight needed to align all the pieces of my psyche into a unified whole. There were a series of dreams that I experienced in formal psychoanalysis, recorded and remembered from 40 years ago that I believed held the secrets to resolving my life-long anxiety neurosis. It's been a long, painful grind. Is someone like me qualified to understand which parts of Freudian and Jungian Theories are valid? One thing is certain; both have flaws, and it's time to bring Psychoanalytic Theory into the 21st century. Please find more individuals who have Individualized so that clarity can be developed. Both are relevant and I believe that both schools can be effectively unified. Please assist me in making this happen. It's time.
I'm not a scholar. I'm not brilliant, but smart enough. My curiosity and drive are my long suits. I only read when I want to discover something that will give me further clarity or perhaps a different insight that will bring me closer to understanding a dilemma that I'm focused on. Although I'm vaguely familiar with the concepts of shadow, animus, archetypes, complexes, id, ego, and super ego, I've not studied any of them in depth. I have recently developed respect for the role of the id, from a lengthy Freudian lecture found on TH-cam this month. The lecture is probably the most useful work that I've ever heard, as it filled in the reasons my official analysis could not find resolution. In truth, I feel Jung enabled me to see and understand my complex; although I cannot deny Freud's importance, too. As I worked through my childhood, adolescence, young adulthood, etc., many of the analytical constructs fell into place, seemingly magically. Yet, I know such things occur only as a result of patience, work, and emotional suffering. I was the scapegoated child in a family of various forms of narcissists. My parents were authoritarian Christians. Enough said.
It is difficult to take in the interpretations given when I constantly stop to examine dreams I have had. I find myself drifting back to dreams passed and then realize several minutes of the video have gone by. Fascinating.
Thank you very much for this! I have the book, if I understand correctly this is the exact chapter read aloud? Interesting that an old audio recording of this exists. Where are the other parts?
I've learned when you're the first to do it the world will try to count you out and try to profit out of my investment except my praise doesn't come from man my praise comes from God Himself. This I know the fear of God has been gamed so in the world to come fear God or die young.
No dreams usually imply an unresolved complex; no dreams can continue for years. Become aware of your specific complex. Perhaps read through Jung's various complexes. You must have an awareness of yourself, emotions, and feelings. If not, find the complex that speaks to you.
How do you mean 'purpose' of this message? Do you claim to understand not only the purpose but also the enterity of this message in such a way that no value was found in it?
Thank you so much for helping keep von Franz, Jung and Jungian psychology alive and active for us.
We really owe alot to Jung and Marie. ❤️🙏
