His first loan at Millwall I loved him,he then went elsewhere even though he was one of our best players, came back and wasn’t even half the player of a year earlier, shame as he couldn’t have had a decent career and still be playing Chsmpionship easily
Could've been part of the promotion squad and premier league winners at Leicester. For ability he matched Drinkwater, James, Vardy etc at that time. Always wondered why we let him go.
Great cast. Ben's first season at Millwall he was class. I want to say it's a shame what happened, but after watching I'm glad he is now in a good place. Want to say that his first stint at Millwall the fans was on his side. Shame he may not have realised.
Loved Marshy at Millwall. Things didn’t go as well for him in his second spell and this podcast has highlighted the reasons why. Could easily get into our team at the moment, that’s how talented he is. But fair play to him if he’s happy with what he’s doing at the moment.
Marshall was so highly thought of when he was at Leicester, had everything as a player, so impressive but blew it for himself really, glad he enjoyed it tho 😂
Great podcast as ever an interesting one as I’ve met Ben personally playing for Stoneclough against my local club, Wyre Villa. He played at centre back and just bossed the back line spotted balls that I never saw and ended up on the winning side. Wired to hear that he wasn’t really bothered with his off the field issues that got in the way of his ultimate dream to play in the premier league, which in my mind I have no doubt he could’ve achieved with his ability.
Another interesting watch. Really does my head in all these comments slagging off these pros because they like a beer and laugh. I appreciate they have a god given talent and opportunities we could only dream of but many have had enough of playing football by their mid twenties. Their life their choice. He appears to be enjoying life more than ever now.
Really enjoyed this. Ben is a quality player, only 29 still. Remember wanting my club forest to sign Ben a few years back. Seems a good lad, it's all about being happy.
