  • We drove through Melbourne with the caravan along the M1 on our way to Wilsons Promontory. It was so crazy busy so early. We camped at Tidal River at Wilsons Promontory, and being school holidays, it was insanely busy. But such a beautiful place. While in Tidal River, we did a couple of hikes, the first one was up Mt Oberon which had great views of Wilsons Promontory. The next day we hiked out to South End the most southerly point on mainland Australia. 8hrs 19mins from when we left the car until we returned (6hrs 52mins actual walking time) 30.5 kms, 47552 steps. Lots of hill work, but we made it back in one piece even though we were absolutely shattered and looks like we will both lose our big toenails from the walk too. 🥱. Another great thing about this place is we got to see wombats.
