The EZ Tracer is officially called a Pantograph, it's used by engineering and architecture students for enlarging drawings and drafts. It's a nifty tool to have if you draw with precise measurements.
The E-Z Tracer is actually an archetype of a tool that was used in history for the same purpose. Without the catchy name, it really is just a pantograph, which was used beginning in the 17th century. They’re really handy devices, if you get your hands on a well built one!

The first item, the chopper, my Mom had one of those back in the very early 60's, so it was being manufactured for a long time. My sister still uses it.
I still have several devices from the late sixties/early seventies and they still work better today than most of the current devices. I have a plastic moulie that I use several times a week and no mandolin beats rons slice a matic that allows adjustment along with a waffle blade for french fries. Mine are both like new even after fifty plus years of use. Bought an extra slice a matic off e-bay that's still new in the box. The moulie makes shredded potatoes for hash browns in a few seconds and piles of shredded carrots to go in salads or shredded cheese for tacos.
