@@fatimadehak5779 the first actor playing Q was Llewellyn Desmond, who was replaced by John Cleese (who was R at the time) when he died. I don't know the facts, but I think that John hoped he would come back as Q again. But the character of Q disappeared for two movies (Casino Royal and Quantum of Solace, so from 2006 til 2008)
+Liz 287 Ben says that he'd love to be in more James Bond films, to which James replies "That's what John Cleese said". John Cleese played Q only once in Die Another Day, but didn't get to reprise the role, so James' comment suggests that Ben isn't going to be in the next films either. I hope that helped..
