Really a nice review trying to understand and point out the vehicle's character. - I drive a 2014 Rexton W (AT), use do go on quite some harder tracks during my roof top tent trips to east and south-east Europe as well as to north Africa (Maroc, Tuniesia, this spring Mauretania is on the list) - and I agree in almost any point. Not to forget: mine has 250.000 kms on the clock meanwhile without any big issues: Just brakepads here, a fuel filter there - and a broken intercooler air pipe due to a marten attack. - I'd definitely buy it again; and one day, hopefully, I will. Or try to, if there will be one left in good condition ... For me, there's no adequate substitute on the market.
Just bought a 2017. I was kind of sceptical,but i bought it anyways. To my surprise,it is a very good car. Quiet, powerful enough. There are no other suv out there which has capabilities like this for its price. Almost Land Cruiser features. Enough said,love the car.

I couldnt believe it. Without a wheel spin. It just went. The Danube is soft rocky,the kind you make concrete out of. With a Grand Vitara I couldnt make it with less than half the weight. Now I am sure that I bought the right car.
Excellent review - thanks. I have 3 (as yet unanswered) questions: QUESTION #1: Does this car have a manual handbrake? QUESTION #2: Is there a footrest to the left of the clutch pedal on the manual transmission version? QUESTION #3: What about parking sensors or rear parking cameras?

@@tomlloyd3259 Overall, while electric cars may have a higher initial impact due to their batteries, they generally end up being less polluting overall because they emit less during use. But hey, we gotta keep working on making production and waste management greener for both types of rides to really make a difference on the environment.

At least it seems to be a practical car to drive!! A bit too big for me, but that’s because I only ever had superminis!!

can reply about the third, after 2010, usually all ssangyong are equiped with rear parking sensors or at least most of them.

Lol😂. Not as easy as you'd like. BUT, I've managed to get every part I've needed for my korando. Ssangyong UK owners group on FB has a great parts guy
