    ANY TIME you take a weight bearing or semi weight bearing impression, you have totally compensated whatever correction is needed....Impressions have to be NON weight bearing with the subtalar in neutral position with the middorsal maximally pronated under the 5th met head

    • @podman1935
      @podman1935 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Tim
      Not necessarily true but if you base on root method yes correct
      However the semi and weight bearing methods are good providing the STJ is in neutral position and maintained when foot is on the ground, as this will also load the mtj long and oblique axes
      ( have lectured bio for many years!)

    • @timyatcak3292
      @timyatcak3292 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I found that polypropylene or carbon graphite work the best as midrange flex should a patient want to run in a pair of them. One problem with the latter: it is very thin and flexible but it tends to breakdown near the heel area after about two years.

    I don't see how this helps if you have flat feet. If you mold my flat feet, you get a flat mold. That does not help my situation. So I suppose this is only good if you have high arches only.

    Back in the day shoes were made with arch supports. Now there made for flat feet. Are feet are not flat to start with, the longer you wear these shoes with no arch support ypur feet flattens and ypu have lots of health issues. Our feet were not meant to be flat. They make shoes without arch supports so they can make a business out of selling these inserts and making moldings of your feet.
