  • Pepper is without a doubt one of the most rambunctious animals of all of my education critters. She sings, she talks, she barks, she is multi-talented. In today's spotlight I talk about what African greys are like in the wild and what forces threaten them both naturally and man-made. This was not an easy one to film 😂

My parrot Charlie is 16, just moved into a new house after living in a no-pet apartment and he’s living with me again after 4 years! Trying to be a better dad to him. Thanks for the education 😁

Love it! Just got our first Timneh Afircan Grey surrnender, here at Rainbow Parrot Rescue Florida. She's a delight. We are well diversed in Greys, but people always bring us the Congos. Thank you for sharing this!

He is probably just content. A lot of these super talkative, chattering birds vocalize as a reaction to stress. A happy bird is frequently a quiet bird. My TAG rarely speaks although he knows many words. I don't train him to make him repeat words, I see this as senseless. I let him talk whenever he feels like it, ...and most of the time he is quiet. He calls me when he wants something, like when he wants to be moved from one place to another, or is thirsty or hungry, or wants out of the cage, etc.

My timneh African grey wants to bite me on the slightest move of my hands towards it. Makes it difficult to bond to him.
Also there was a time we let it out of his cage, and he flew out of home. Luckily, we were able to retrieve him. Since then, we've never let it out again. The other day we tried to pluck some of its feathers, it was a real fierce battle. Screaming and attempting to bite throughout. Any help?😤
