HI there. Newbie here. So far, my process has been this...First step was doing research on equipment and then acquiring the pieces I needed to start. My thoughts on this were, I need to have something to work with and practice with first and foremost. Then research on how to use that equipment in a cohesive kind of way. Next step was research on how to get the desired sound, room treatment and noise floor to deliver a professional sounding product, and also learning my DAW. Then I started to create profiles on a couple of platforms and quickly realized that in order to complete them and attract clients I need to have at least one demo, so that is what I am working on now. Did a bunch of research on that particular topic, decided on which type of demo I want to create first, which is going to be commercial for me. In the meantime, I was offered to do a couple of local commercial spots so that worked out nicely and I can use those for my demo. Doing some research today on the next style of commercial I want to tackle which will be a luxury brand of some sort. So in a nutshell, I do enough research to figure out what my next step is, and then target my research specifically on that goal until I get it accomplished, and then on to the next. It seems to be working out pretty well so far. And I can also fine tune previous steps as I go. I will approach training the same way...as needed in my own process. I like to figure as much out as I can on my own, then go get the support and help I need as it comes up in my own natural flow. Hope that helps someone!

Did you start as a 1099 independent contractor, or have you set up as an LLC or schedule C? I need some guidance on how to start out from the business perspective.

I don’t know if there is a setting you can change, but I never get to watch your videos anymore because I do all my listening on the road to downloaded TH-cam videos. For some reason, your lives don’t allow you to download them, so I end up scrolling on by…

@churchhymnsandpsalms you cannot download an active live stream, but you can with a replay. I also convert these to podcast episodes on my channel. :)

@ I meant that once the livestream is over and I can see it in my subscription feed with a completed length time, there’s no button to download. Yours is the only channel I follow like that.

@churchhymnsandpsalms i can download past live streams. The one from today, is not an option yet. Not sure how long it takes for that to become available. Are you able to download past lives?

@ let me check. I don’t do it because I only scroll and download through my current feed. That’s how I find my videos.

@@VoiceOverAngela strange. Yes, I can download past lives. I just only look at my current feed. So once something passes by, I usually don’t see it again. All of my other channels that go live, as soon as they end, are available for download.Maybe it’s a setting?
