    This video and design fundamentals have been the two most important videos for me on Mirai live. Cool to see you posting this here, it'll be great for the world bonsai community. If you're a beginner this video will increase your ability to appreciate/judge bonsai ten fold.

    What would you do with a bonsai tree that doesn’t like repotting. I have a Madrone bonsai tree. That I been growing in the same bonsai pot for 18 years. It growing great in the pot. But some of my club members said never repot it or it will die

    • @Ben7x26
      @Ben7x26 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can put it in a bigger pot. That should never be a problem if the pot is only a little bit bigger

    Ichi No Shashi eda= defining sleeve branch. Imagine the kimono sleeve swaying in the wind while a Maiko is dancing

    • @PVProduktion
      @PVProduktion ปีที่แล้ว

      It's actually Sa+shi eda = 差+し 枝 "character" + making it a verb (characterizing)+ branch. As I understand it.

    Excellent introduction. Thanks so much.
    A question. Does everyone always agree on which branch is the sashieda (sp?)? Or are there sometimes discussions, such as:
    -- I think this branch is the sashieda.
    -- No way! That branch is the sashieda for sure!
    -- You're kidding!
    Etc.
    Thanks.

    The trees are beautiful, and the amount of content is amazing. But a constant criticism i have with Mirai is the lack of accessibility of the information. Gives an impression of elitism and a bit of gatekeeping. Often I just end up switching to Peter Chan… It seems you have a lot of things to teach that I would like to learn, but please work on your communication and pedagogy. No hate here, just constructive criticism.

    Так это ж тайцзи. Укоренение, нижний даньтянь, верхний даньтянь и лук с натяжением, рука, кончик пальца спокойный или натянутый показывает характер. В форме - пустое и полное. Целиком характер дерева и соответствие канону описывабтся через тиграммы.

    I feel like if you aren't going to go into the 'exceptions' that are deciduous but not broadleaf (ie, angiosperm) species, you should have at least used a broadleaf as the demonstration tree instead of a ginkgo, which is a gymnosperm.

    penjing ? is that correct? not bonsai

    • @danielkosta3134
      @danielkosta3134 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The trees in this video are bonsai. Penjing is the Chinese form from which bonsai descended. Penjing are often done more in the form of landscapes including several trees, rocks, and figurines. These are often planted on a white marble tray. Single tree penjing are sometimes done in animalistic forms. Bonsai is the Japanese art . Mostly it is done with single trees which are shaped to resemble the shapes that the species involved would have in Nature. There are never figurines in a bonsai. Rocks are only used when the tree is actually growing on or over the rock. There are forests in bonsai but they are done without rocks or figurines as well. A related Japanese art called saikei includes several trees with rocks presented with a naturalistic appearance in a shallow ceramic pot.

    I have never once searched bonsai videos ever. Ive never clicked on one befor now. Ive never commented or watched, or anything resembling an interaction with a bonsai video or channel. And yet, every time i get on youtube, every 6th-10th video suggested is a bonsai video. Can anyone tell me why that is, and how to make it stop? I couldnt care any less about bonsai, and its spamming my feed. Its very annoying.
