This song reminds me of my father. While I was growing up he was an alcoholic. I always looked at him and wanted a father I could count on. Who would be there for me. In my 20s he stopped drinking and became the father I always needed. I am so grateful for that and to him. He was a great man.
I can resonate! 🥰🥰 Mine was too and emotionally unavailable, too. Then he quit drinking after I had my Son at age 27. I thank God for your relationship that became whole again, too! 🙌♥️
Praise God. My dad was a monster. Married 5 times ( my mother 4 times ) I always chased after him but he didn't like me because I looked like my mom. On his death bed I tried to talk but he had an oxygen mask on. And he just died. On the flip side I've been married 34 years with 4 children and 4 grandchildren so far. Every once in a while my son asks me why his grandfather never came around or said much to him. Luckily my father in law ( his other grandfather) was 10x the man my father was.

Love this song, and the video that Rick put with it. I'm a Vietnam Veteran, not long after the war I had a wife, a steady job, a son, a nice house and I had literally married my dance partner. I was reroofing the house in the southern sun with a short case of miller beer when my mind broke. I went into hiding at the college I was attending on the GI bill, and was lost for 2 weeks. Everyone was looking for me. I finally came out, put all my stuff on the front lawn, gave the house to My Step Dad, and got in the car to go to the coast. The ocean was calling me. I totally blew my whole life up. This song later described my feelings at the time. That was 1979.
This band , this album, was pure magic as a high school teen when they began. Not one bad song on album 1. Every one of my high school crew had the album, we played them into the ground. Every teen party or school events it was played. Every date with girls had a song connection. I saw them live as well in Baltimore. God I miss that music era.
The best song ever written and performed. Mr. Brad Delp was a vocalist among other vocalist! The official voice of Boston. I was in high school when Boston released their first album. Nothing has topped the bar since then!
There were a handful of records by dad had when I was a kid that I remember and this was my dads favorite band. He used to turn it up full blast. I never seen him rock out harder than when listening to them. His favorite song was Foreplay/Long Time. I grew up liking them and as I got into my late teens or early 20's this song become my favorite. An absolutely incredible song. The guitar solo's are up there with my favorite solo's ever. Today would had been my dad's 71st. Putting it on full blast in memory of him.
A brilliant and incredibly wonderful song! As an old fan of Boston, starting in 1977, this song, together with 'More Than a Feeling' and the incredible 'Amanda', is my all time favourite - unsurpassed and timeless, a truly wonderful piece of music.

This song, Amanda & More than a Feeling are 3 of the greatest love songs ever. Only Foreigner comes close with Waiting for a Girl like You & I Want to Know What Love Is.
Always was an amazing song. I think many take the lyrics in the wrong way though. This is not of a woman trying to push him to be more. This is of a woman that loves him and already sees him as the perfect man. He is struggling with himself because he feels he will never be at that level, though he knows she already sees him as that by making the reference of her dreaming. RIP Brad. Boston was a common sound in my Chevelle growing up! Miss those days and miss the music from amazing artists like this. Thank you for keeping this music alive!
It’s nearly impossible to choose my favorite song by my beloved Boston. I was privileged to see them in concert in the beginning of their 1st concert tour in 1976. I still have my ticket and my guitar pick and slide bar that Tom Scholz gave me. I think I can say this is my favorite! I will always love my favorite band Boston 🥰 Beautifully done! Thank you!
Lucky guy! It was my impossible dream to get to the Boston concert! Because Ukraine is far from the USA. But I had their vinyl record from 1978, which I later passed on to my son. Now he owns this treasure!

I feel that now. I know for a fact I dont please her, been with her 17 years. Its one of those gut feelings that play with your head. For me, i just try to be the best person I can , give her all that I can, and if someone doesnt see that, its their problem. Go find what your looking for. Youll never find it. good job for a great song, we all listened to Boston on an album at home or on our 8-tracks from start to finish while crusing. "i fell sorry for the future kids missing out on cars..your first real form of fredom" the songs over whelming force of the sound and word are like the waves you show, just build build build, a force that fill with aw. keep up the good work thanks
You created an excellent video relating to the song. Camera work is outstanding. Of course, with Boston you couldn`t go wrong. Thank you for such an offering of their music.
The ringing of these guitars, the harmonics is difficult to find words to describe. An Absolutely master piece in sound. Based upon the “hard to be unkind”, “easy just to say... It sounds like a man that has been put upon a pedestal buy the babe who is 100% “all in”, yet inside, the man does not feel the same way about “her” and is struggling with “What to do”?

Great video and Great song. One of Boston's best ever. Brings me back to the glorious '80s. Thank you, Rick.
@E.P. Thanks for your comment and I'm glad it hit you right where it counts! :)
The first time I heard this song, I soared. It is so passionate; where is this man?
He sadly committed suicide in 2007
good job for a great song, we all listened to Boston on an album at home or on our 8-tracks from start to finish while crusing. "i fell sorry for the future kids missing out on cars..your first real form of fredom" the songs over whelming force of the sound and word are like the waves you show, just build build build, a force that fill with aw. keep up the good work thanks
Saw your video on Asia and Bj's Channel! Great video! Going to share it with my friends and family!
@Gaia Thanks!! 😊 I tried finding it but didn't have any luck. Could you please provide me the link?
Thanks for the visual. Nice compliment to a classic Boston song. One of my favorites.
You created an excellent video relating to the song. Camera work is outstanding. Of course, with Boston you couldn`t go wrong. Thank you for such an offering of their music.
Thank you. Means a lot and much appreciated 😊
Tom mestre da guitarra. Lindo solo...
It still makes me have feelings I haven’t had in a long long time. My favorite Boston song. 🙏
Rock & Roll never die.
Boston I have been listening since I was 10 years old and a man I never wanted to be 🇮🇸🇮🇸🇮🇸🤘🤘😍
Beautiful.
Rest in Peace Brad Delp!!
