time lapse speed and music are perfect, shows whole projects can pause anytime to see something specific this way. Love the design, lot of material and effort shows quality workmanship all the way
this is the difference between good enough and done right. awesome job ! you didn't cut any corners and spent the time to do the time consuming details. great idea with the round center pavers and the rest going the other way.
Why no stone dust or paver sand, I was under the impression all rock should be compacted before pavers ontop. I saw you screen the rock with the level then put pavers right ontop. I own a landscape company and am trying to learn as much as I can
We used 3/8" chip stone in place of the sand. We did what is called an "open grade" base for this installation. There's a lot of debate on whether to use open grade (which is 3/4" clean stone base with 3/8" chip stone as bedding) or traditional (which is 3/4" modified with concrete sand as bedding). I believe both have their places and are both good options. Thanks for watching
is there any pitch to the patio, or completely level in all directions? i know it gets more difficult when there's a level wall on two sides you have to line up with
Nice work on this mailbox but you could have pulled the blocks in the middle on the right side out alil more. You can see the difference, it would bother me too much to not fix it
What kind of paver base did you use? I see the Sakrete brags and then I see crushed gravel/rock bags for cheaper. Can either one be used? AWESOME video BTW
QUESTION, I am getting ready to do a raised paver patio like this video, my retaining wall will be curved instead of straight like this video. How do I slope the retaining wall so it matches the slope of the pavers? Similar to the curved parts of the patio in the video
LOVE watching how you do it, and please wear respirators to save on pulmonologist bills after 50s , all that masonry cutting u do and no protection, makes me worry about your health ( the other guy who helps you to handle bricks)
@@joyfaith1711 No it aint. Between base rock, chip stone, pavers, fill sand and a few other things, half of cost is in materials. fThen the other half is to pay dedicated professionals who have invested their life and money into this field and are coming with a wealth of knowledge and a wealth of professional eqquipment. The cost of maintaining eqquiment, cost of large yard or warehouse to store eqquipment and materials, cost of diesel, truck / tractor payments, and the general cost of survival along with major inflation in this country. With the inflation situation, the math and current numbers in your head all have to be updated. They will likely have to charge more soon...in order to survive.
@Joy Faith Remember, good labor isn’t cheap and cheap labor isn’t good! This gentleman is a craftsman! Worth every penny and then some! His work will stand the test of time. Mar a largo labor, not so much.
Probably about a $35K patio and retaining wall on a property with a box house covered in vinyl siding and the cheapest OC shingles you can get. Man, people crack me up. 😆 Absolutely no shade towards SRM, though. The project looks fantastic and well thought out, nice job!
It’s crazy how different the outcome is when a professional does it vs when a DIYer does it.
Beautiful.
Thanks

Thank you I'm glad you enjoyed it
Attention to detail. Good quality 👍

I agree but I’m quite sure he cut lots of corners
Very impressive work. Love the attention to detail. This separates the men from the boys. Real pros.
Thank you very much!

So nice! Great work! I watched the retaining wall first. You’ve got my sub.
looks really really good
Great video 👏🏻
Thank you
Hey, I am trying to understand how do you organize the pavers, seems extremely chaotic, but it's beautiful which makes me think there's a system?
very beautiful. I would add an iron railing on the edge.
Looks awesome that's a hell of a skill
Wow! That came out pretty awesome.
Nice work
That was a fantastic job. Wish you guys were in Michigan to do mine.
Thank you very much and best of luck with your project!
What was the cost on this? Its beautiful
Very nice job : )
Thank you very much!
Curious to know how much this cost ? I have to redo my backyard and looking to do something similar with the retaining wall too

That’s nice ASF👏🏽👍🏽💪🏽👊🏽🤦🏽♂️😵💫🎯TOP NOTCH
WOW!
Why did you have to saw the perimeter pieces after you made the larger perimeter cut? It looks like you are going for a higher quality look?
Subbed! Great Work!
Thank you, I appreciate it!
Awesome job! What is the rebar for?
looks great and very helpful video. What's the cost of something like this?
There are many factors, but in my area pavers around $18-$20 per sq ft
That’s labor and materials?
@@srmcontracting that’s labor and materials?

Great video content is amazin❤️
Glad you think so! Thanks for watching
Real good work this is pure quality!….where are y’all from?
Thank you, I'm in lower bucks county PA
Nice work on this mailbox but you could have pulled the blocks in the middle on the right side out alil more. You can see the difference, it would bother me too much to not fix it
Great work. Will you guys consider a job in hamburg pa?
Thank you, sorry that is outside our coverage area.
Very well done, I would hope with your videos mines would come out just as well 😀.
Thank you, good luck with your project!
Looks great! Is the body the chestnut color and the border is chocolate?
Thanks you and yes that's correct
Just curious....why no sand as top layer for the pavers.?
I don,t know where this was built but should there be a railing and a banister ?
What kind of paver base did you use? I see the Sakrete brags and then I see crushed gravel/rock bags for cheaper. Can either one be used? AWESOME video BTW
The base is crushed gravel. Thanks for watching!
I’m sitting here thinking 🤔 Y’all can just come do my outdoor kitchen
Do you ever run into any trouble with needing to provide a railing at the top of the wall?
On a small wall it's really up to the customer. I think anything over 4 ft I would strongly recommend one
What made you decide open grade clear chips for bedding on this one?
Just the flatware would cost 18k in Delaware. 35-40k for everything

I build the wall level and then crown the patio. So the high spot is in the middle and the water will shed to the edges. Hope this helps
why no sand under paver
This is an open grade install, we used 3/8" chip stone instead of the sand. Thanks for watching!
What is the round bar on there. Is that for your lighting?
Yes it was the conduit for the lighting
LOVE watching how you do it, and please wear respirators to save on pulmonologist bills after 50s , all that masonry cutting u do and no protection, makes me worry about your health ( the other guy who helps you to handle bricks)
How much does a job like this cost
Starting at $20 per square foot for pavers
Rip off

@Notta Bidenfan I can get some Mar-A-Lago staff to do it better for less. 🤡
