The fact that Red's censor bar is up to his chin. Means that his *bar* has a staggering 3 feet of length from his legs, all the way to his torso. all the buff physiques complement their personalities too:
Soldier is basically a representation of the American military. disciplined, stoic and absolutely huge, sometimes too big. his size IS his pose, no need to exaggerate whats already there. soldier is the American form of masculinity.
Spy, being French, leans heavily into the natural beauty side of his physique that his culture cherishes. his body is one of the few that is obtainable by anyone without substances. of course he strikes a mysterious pose covering his face while staring directly at red. he is a man of romance and thus leans heavily on his cloak and dagger personality.
heavy's physique is a mixture of his culture and his unique personality. being naturally giant he is happy to strike Russian strongman poses. he does not care for abs and prefers to highlight other parts of the body since they are not a sign of power for him, only starvation. in his second pose he is closed off but still showing off his biceps. it is a protective pose. he is as much flexing for red as himself. heavy in the lore is friendly, introspective and intelligent. to him, his physique is of self acceptance and a tool for protecting those he loves, not a shiny trophy.
engineer is much like soldier outwardly, an Texan beast formed by a great work ethic and optimised schedule fit for an educated man. engineer is happy, outgoing and musical. he treats his job and his physique like music too; something that takes consistent effort of brain and brawn, to be practiced and honed so that all the world can benefit and enjoy. his flexing is simply playing his jiggle melody. notice that despite his exaggerated "beauty muscles" (chest and biceps), he still has a square physique which hints and a combination of beauty and function.
demo man uses his physique for confidence. he is proud and true to himself just as a Scotsman should be. again demo man leans on his natural strength from his highlander environment on top of his genetics which favour high muscle mass. notice how he still dons his demo uniform and smokes dynamite. his body is his pride, so no wonder he combines it with things he is proud of such as his career.
medic is similar to the spy in that his body is based on a cultural background. a strong and unshaved chest is the most iconic part of a German physique. is is aggressive and efficient. medic likely leans heavily into nutrition and science in his bodybuilding, if he lifts weights at all. to him all aspects of masculinity should be displayed in its purest form. again, much like spy but executed through a different vision.
scout is of course outwardly arrogant and yet taps into an overlooked aspect of athleticism. Olympic runners often look skinny and streamlined. scout is of course belongs to this type of people, and so in his league his physique would be considered quite strong. being a young man it is not unreasonable to suggest scout has yet to form a healthy ego. it is clear that he uses his athleticism as a coping mechanism for perhaps some underlying insecurities. hence his "fuckboy" pose.
sniper has got that "old man strength" look to him. he has a body that has weathered many challenges as an outdoorsman and has aged like fine wine. sniper clearly only sees his body as a convenient side effect to his lifestyle, showing it off much like an hunter would do trick shots. the wink shows he's light-hearted about the rizz. emotionally detached about how he looks but still fit enough to enjoy the benefits. sniper has accepted he his amongst the weakest of his country, instead forging a path and physique that benefits himself. notice the mediocre beauty muscles but enhanced back, shoulder, lat and neck muscles.
pyro is of course a blank slate of an aesthetic. he could be anyone and no one at the same time, and thus his body is the peak of general human fitness for the modern society. as close to the gigachad as possible but void of masculine personality such as hair or lower back muscles, still concealing his face. this is the john doe of aesthetics. in a way it is like the fantasy physique usually concealed by layers of the grim reality (his fire suit that covers all skin usually), much like pyro himself
