I’m a kook surfer and Buddhist Hospital Chaplain and so I am around death everyday - although I listen to the podcast for the giggles, I appreciate the conversation around death. We have truly forgotten how to grieve and I don’t think most of us, most of the time, realize how deeply this is impacting us. Love the pod you guys 🤙🫶

watching the don't be a kook segment- I think this kind of stuff really taps into the best of SS. I just watched him being interviewed on surf splendor, from a year ago it said, and he was asked about what he wanted to do going forward in terms of media and movies and cetera. His response was really interesting because he'd sort of laid how much he cultivated celebrity and then he talked about how he was really a surfer, all his life, and that meant basically he'd spent so much time doing surfer things and it was so deep in him that he couldn't escape it. Not sure that makes sense. Just wanted to say SS should embrace being as surfer as the surfiest of the surfers and give us more of all his experience and perspective on the subculture. Take it from the man.
I also agree with the fact texting is an excuse, it’s an easy way out to say the necessary words without taking the courage and humility to own up directly to that person face to face.

I see it and discuss it a lot with my students and youth- it’s all about the fact that through text there is no INFLECTION. I am guilty of doing what Ryan said too as far as just wanting to text to take the easy way out.

OK, kind a long winded but here it goes… You have to start with an E foil… No JetSki… Nathan and Koa show 30 minutes of footage of them paddling out… Can we see 30 minutes of you just climbing up on the dock… I also like your inside out pockets… I do that when surfing, it shows no money… Yes if you have any taint tips, mine is sagging… I talked to Joel tutor about starting a big wave hospice… Now we’re going to add the flying suit hospice… Why die in a hospital bed when you could crash in to the side of a mountain… My goal one day is you make fun of me, if you think the wave is ending its life, it is transferring its life to us surfers… I like the jiggling and Bengravey did meet his wife on Instagram… So I’m trying… That’s about it auntie Mo is awesome… Carry your surfboard wax side out… And my whole board is a deckpad… Except the front 1 foot is wax for when I’m hanging hills… Love you guys keep it up… Hopefully heading up there soon… Look for my van at your beach parking lot 🏆💪🏼🏄🏼♂️🇺🇸.
