How to Build a Garage Addition 12: Installing End Wall Steel and Cupola

  • During this episode of How to Build a Garage Addition, post frame style, we finally have a wind free day to install the large end wall steel sheets. Once we wrap up the end wall steel, we are able to build our Plyco 3' Cupola with side lites. I love the way these help set off a building, and no, they are not active. Purely for looks.
Also, putting up a long sheet of steel is not for the faint of heart. It takes practice and I wouldn't recommend someone doing it if they've never done it before...so consider that a disclaimer I guess.

This is a good book. Does provide a step by step introduction to how to build things th-cam.com/users/postUgkxhgbP-6hUnXu_QRaoHgLztgsI0YF3HqR0 , also does offer some steps. Includes pictures to give you ideas for layouts and such. If you are looking for a guide, this is not exactly what you want. But if you are trying to familiarize yourself with the way that pole barn building and other out buildings, are made, then this will work just as you need it to. A few things in this book are a barn (of course), detached garage, storage building, and coops.

Cool vid guys, watching from New Zealand. I gota say I prefer the builds where the soffit (spelling) is a different colour to the rest of the cladding steel. But I guess with this build you go with the colour scheme of the existing building. Oh yeah love how you guys use NZ Pine for your framing. My tribe that I belong to has Pine forests on our tribal lands that gets processed for the international market. Hopefully Trumpy doesn't slap a tariff increase on it lol. You know... you could probably make a roller that you could clamp on to the basket of your lift that would hold your house wrap.
you might need a hand it getting it started, but after it's started you could just drive the lift and it would unroll itself. Just an idea.

Paying for hair cuts??? I bought a FLOWBEE precision home hair cutting system that attaches to a vacuum. I bought it in early 1990 for $125.00 and it still cuts great today. The first time I used it, I though I had the best hair cut of my life! I cut my hair whenever I feel like it. Best purchase I ever made and after 28 years of use it still works great. Hou much money have I saved in haircuts & tips using it 28+ years??? Great system.
