BRILLIANT…. The chamber music going on is impeccable! This is straight from the heart and soul performance! Simply amazing
I have been listening to a lot of different flautists play this piece because I have to play it for all state auditions. This is by far my favorite one style wise, you can really tell he is enjoying playing this. I love it :]
What a beautiful sound!
Trovo che sia un flautista e musicista stupendo, peccato che sia poco conosciuto in Italia. Suono splendido, tecnica impeccabile e immensa raffinatezza
I’ve been preparing to record this and keep coming back to watch your performance because it’s so organic and innately musical…definitely my favourite here.
Such beautiful and inspiring flute playing Daniel!
Bravo! Maravillosa interpretación de una pieza clave en el repertorio flautístico, gracias

👍👏
Excellent playing! This got me to read your bio at the Bigio site and I'll be listening to your other videos, too. Have you always played with open G sharp and closed hole?
Is that a Bigio headjoint? I have one which I have used with an old Rudall Carte wooden Radcliff model. I find these RC flutes had a wonderful light touch key mechanism ...in fact better , I think, than a modern metal model.
Hi Tom. Yes it’s a Bigio head. I find they match brilliantly with RC cocus wood flutes. Glad you enjoyed it! Daniel
@@DanielPailthorpe Thanks for that.
The flute's first note was played in a character that doesn't match the music. It should mesh more with the atmosphere set up by the piano. It's as if an arbitrary Jimmy-Galway-five-cent-discount-opera approach is being applied. I see absolutely no musical justification for it.
Wow beautiful! Is this piece polyphonic or homophonic?
studying for an exam? XD
@@brittneydavis2573 😂😂😂😂😂😂. had to act like i care to get a response for my exam and i still didn't lol
