Just WOW! I've only just found this recording of this inspirational piece. I played this for my Grade 8 Flute Exam back in 1987 and was awarded 29/30 for it for which I was truly honoured! Still love listening to this today :)
How did you get such a high grade? I have to pass the same exam in a few months/weeks on 2 other pieces that seem easier to me and I still can't get it right after 6 months of work on one piece and 4 months on the second :(
I didn’t know I’d be able to go to college next spring. But here I am with the opportunity and scrambling for this audition and this is the piece I’m playing. 🥳
I was trying to play along with this video and i could not keep up!!!! THIS MAN IS AWESOME!!!!!! I have been working on this piece for 3 years trying to perfect it and now i see i have more work to do lol
Claudio is easily the most expressive flutist I have ever come across. Not to mention technical perfection. I love his artistic interpretations...Bravo!
I dont agree that his technique is perfect, I hear many many mistakes at this age, not when he was younger, but he is one my most favorite flutists ever, brilliante
me. mine is next saturday and i’m so scared edit: i got my score back and i got a 96/100, which is a lot better than i expected. now i’m waiting to see if i passed the audition.
Memorizing music unless I added lib to it and made up the notes of my own just was not more forte. Now give me the music and time to woodshed it and I can play whatever you want. I just hated to memorize. I think it was too nerve-racking for me. I need a crutch. My hats off to these amazing musicians.
I've been playing flute for almost 3 years and this is the price I've been practicing for the past few months and I love it! I've got a concert with this song in January and I can't wait! Thank you for sharing! It was absolutely amazing!
It's not THAT hard, is it?! It's just many scalic and repetitive finger-twister bits but not that hard once you practise and clean up and perfect those bits
He is to the flute what Leicester City is to football (only in Argentina could the significance of this statement be appreciated). Truly an underrated musician. Thank you!
I'm trying this on an 8 key wooden flute. I've been playing the flute for about a month. It's haaaard (this piece). I kinda have the first movement down except the 32nd notes, but it doesn't sound NEARLY as good as this. This is great!

@@yeabutna7309 lolol talent indeed. Meanwhile, one of my friends also played this piece after learning flute for just 5 years.

Esa nota al final, como delicada gota de agua dulce...
5:05 to 5:20 was so difficult...of course those was the specific measures the judges wanted me to play when auditioning for districts :(
Oh my goodness!! Wow! This is sooooo good! I am 13 and playing this so it gives me much hope for the future of my fluting career!

You can't tell me that you have been playing only for 3 years and are already able to play the Allegro in that tempo

but yeah it's hard I do agree :)))))))))))))))))))
i disagree although it may seem difficult, you can play it-it just has a lot of methods
Definitely impossible to play that at the right speed and a good musical expression after 3 years
Im still fascinated ❤️
Beautiful!

Why are you trying to play Faure on a baroque flute?
@@stevehickingy9695 because it's what I have and why not? It's also not a baroque flute. They've been in use for a long time.
Good luck then, it will certainly be a challenge.
