20/20. A childhood friend of mine, decades later, hit the Texas Lottery jackpot and became a multi-millionaire overnight. A few of years later, he and other jackpot winners were interviewed on local TV on what’s it like after a few years for such a mega lifestyle change.
Among his modest comments, he said “It’s true that money can’t buy happiness, but it sure can make it easier to find! 😁)

20/20 being a senior citizen makes this quiz easy.

20/20. This was ridiculously easy! Unless, as others have said, the younger generation are not taught these wise sayings any more, which wouldn't surprise me.

    There's no California without fire.
    That was easy.
    Islands too.

    I’ve always heard,
“The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence” and “Where there’s smoke there’s fire”.

    Question:
#9: In America, the expression is "Where there's smoke, there's fire."

19/20. Question 19 doesn't really go like that. I've never heard it put that way before. I always heard the proof is in the pudding.
And we usually say where there's smoke there's fire, but I had to translate it backwards in my head and I went well it has to be smoke.
But yeah this was unless you're not English speaking, or not at least 60, a lot of these might be lost to the younger generation.
But trust me growing up in the fifties and sixties I heard all these expressions with the exception of the way you put question number 19. The proof is in the pudding it should be.
