Actually, Croatia has a centuries old tradition of ship making and it has several very capable shipyards. This render of planned future corvette alongside some details is developed by experienced shipyard from Split that has long tradition of making military vessels. This project is something they and some others in Croatia with cooperation with smaller specialized companies certainly can build but it is question when it's gonna get order for such undertaking from the Croatian government. As stated in this video corvettes are gonna be main ships of Croatian navy since as a smaller country with defensive doctrine we just don't need largest ships like destroyers, cruisers, frigates let alone air carriers. Multi-purpose corvettes with several powerful and advanced rocket systems and anti-submarine torpedoes is all we need alongside several navy helicopters. As I've heard It is planned to build 3 to 4 corvettes.
We are building ships for 1000y and oldest continuous shipyard in Europe is from Croatia....Kraljevica shipyard....and torpedo was invented here so i dont see no reason why we couldnt build it!? Not only corvettes but destroyers too
