This is ironic; when I bought my house in Arizona in 2018, it had an old 1983 Plebe, it worked ok but had a lot of mineral deposits and I finally took it out and replaced with a fresh new Aquasource Colby. No regrets here. But I liked the Plebe and would have just left it in had it been in better overall condition
The Plebe is awesome and the Henshaw is really good even though AquaSource toilets have a really bad reputation like Glacier Bay toilets (the Power Flush is Glacier Bay’s ONLY good toilet).
I agree. It seems like AquaSource has always been above average for its time from what I've seen. Henshaws seem like a good reliable toilet which is why I'm installing one at my grandma's house.
Similarly to the GB powerflush, i think that the henshaw is in my opinion aquasource's only good toilet. I still much prefer the plebe though because #obeytheplebe.
Although I don’t think the Henshaw was the best performer of the 2010s it’s pretty undeniable that both of these were the best performers for their prices back then and now
@@OCC_Plumbing_and_Restorations Well I think the Vormax models have good flushes even tho I’m not the biggest fan of single jet whirlpool style toilets. I think the Vormax would beat this at overall performance too despite the trapways being roughly the same diameter. There are just fewer bends on most of the Vormax models. I think GB Power Flushes have cool flushes too that would provide at least as much bowl rinse as this since the majority of the water is going through the rim. And the GB would also be less likely to clog due to the massive trapway
The Vormaxes clog nonstop on normal use but I haven't seen any issues with the Power Flushes except the weird tank parts. I wouldn't mind getting one for tests sometime but that means I would have to buy one.
@@OCC_Plumbing_and_Restorations I don’t see why the Vormaxes would be any more prone to clogging than one of these unless the trapways aren’t glazed but honestly idk. I’ve only ever seen Kohlers 360 models which don’t seem as good. I’d like to get a Vormax to test some day. And yeah the GB has weird looking tank parts but at the end of the day it’s just a flush tower and an upside down plastic jug. Nothing fancy. Plus they give you silicone seals which should last a bit longer than the typical stuff you get. Compared to a normal toilet they only have one more seal that can fail
I would be interested to know if the Power Flush parts are readily available to make repairs on those toilets because that could be a problem for people who have them. As for the Vormaxes, I know a couple people who have them and they say they clog constantly. I would like to see one in person though.
@Willy and Wessy TV They could use less water but then they wouldn't have that awesome flush and awesome performance. They'd end up being a clone of the new Colony.
The plebe is like the best as toilets imo in the 70s and 80s. The aquasource is also a very good toilet but im subrised it failed the dirt. whenever I see these, they usually dont fail dirt.

Your luckey your brand new and not broken aquasource. otherwise you would have been in some hot water with occ plumbing. Also thank you so much for the reccomendation. we happen to be going to lowes tomarrow so ill do a project source pro flush #obeytheplebe
I like the tests you do but, the masks do have a wire in them. Do you ever worry about if that will get stuck in the trapway or possibly scratch the toilets.
I believe they are bendable plastic wires so they won't scratch and also they are small enough to pass through. If one were to get stuck, I'd probably flush something like a washcloth to help push it down.
#ObeyThePlebe The American Standard Plebe (1983+ Model?) is truly Excellent (despite not taking the two bags) 🌟 and even the Aquasource Henshaw is very good too for a modern 1.28Gal toilet (this did almost take the two bags - disobeying the Plebe in the process) ⭐ but my favorite is the Plebe of course (as that got the Gold Medal) and it HAS to be obeyed 👍
