I’m proud of her, this journey is necessary in order to find your best self, i hope she continues letting go and letting ppl see her because I guess that seems to be soooo important to fans whereas I don’t have to really know ppl personally, i just like talent. But with celeb/ fan relationships these days ppl tend to feel entitled to know who their faves are on a pretty intimate level. Anyways I’m always going to support her. She’s a decent, smart, talented human being.
wow. when Normani said "she wasn't supposed to be the one in this position" it really hit me. I've been a fan since 2012.. I remember watching her audition on the x-factor and 5H becoming a group when it aired. I can see why she feels like that because during the 5H era.. majority of the fandom was betting on everyone but Normani to be the one to go on to do great things outside of 5H and look at her now.
PROTECT NORMANI AT ALL COSTS! She is so precious and so amazing!!! Thank you Normani for sharing your vulnerability with us and allowing us to connect together.
I think when she cried and said she wasn't the one that was supposed to be in this position, she was talking about 5th Harmony. I think she was made to feel as if she wasn't as talented as the other ladies and in essence was a background singer.
Another big thing that ppl overlook was that she was forced to perceive herself that way because she was the only black girl in the group. That’s how black ppl feel period, can’t imagine how hard it just be in the industry
Fans have been saying there is trauma from the fifth harmony era and we where right. She got racially attack to the point she left twitter and we saw her light dim after that. Trauma takes time to heal. I’m glad normani opened up and clearly she has something because she’s still doing so well even without a album. It will come when it comes, we waited this long and still care so why not wait more. Normani is incredible and I hope all the best for her.
Normani is such a big talent. The industry has not treated her with the respect and freedom she deserves and it’s taken a toll on her. I wish we protected women more in these spaces.

Normani is an EXTREMELY beautiful and talented person, I hope she gets all the love and credit she deserves, I just hate how so many people are so critical of everything she does and won’t give her a chance to grow as an artist like her peers. 😒
As great as Fifth Harmony was for many of us, it really did do a number on the girls. They bring it up every time they’re interviewed that yeah it was fun and all, but there was also dark side nobody ever saw. Props to the 5 of them for coming through and doing what brings them happiness.
I love her, I see her as family. I’m gonna always be there rooting for her, whether that be through music, acting, getting married and having her own family one day, I will always be there rooting for her and wishing her and her family the very best!
Normani has too much class to be specific but lets not mess around. You know we haven't even heard about a TENTH about what she's gone through in the industry particularly I'm guessing when she was in fifth harmony. Then her songs being taking off apple music then the VMA's debacle. That's why despite only sporadically dropping singles she has amassed a huge fanbase. People particularly WOC know exactly what she's been through/talking about without her saying. But you can;t stop greatness. And all those people, the ones who dismissed her as just the "dark skinned back up dancer" in the group or tried to keep her down will be the ones eating their words because she is a SUPERSTAR. Seriously she has a level of talent that can put her in the big leagues. It's no wonder her, Doja and ChloexHalle are all friends and hang in the same cirles. Greatness recognises greatness. Those 4 are the next big stars in the industry.
Exactlyyy i seriously hate people that call her a backup dancer from WAP which just tells me that they didn't do much research on her because that woman was amazing on dancing with the stars, I'm pretty sure she also does do professional dancing like ballet and even gymnastics and cheerleading
Normani has truly evolved in front of our eyes and it's a pleasure to see. This is the most vulnerable and open we've seen her and the music reflects that. She isn't just chasing a hit but instead finding herself and sharing some of it with us. Truly wonderful interview with great insight into more of who she really is.

I love interviews like this where you can tell the interviewer and interviewee are connecting so well to the point of ending each other’s sentences and he did a good job peeling the layers and I love it.
Zane really is such an amazing interviewer😭he asked everything I wanted to know and Normani was so open I loved this💯😭❤️
5:00 first time seeing her cry is so touching, love her for being so vulnerable and sharing her experience 💕
Yea I'm sure that was the reference
Another big thing that ppl overlook was that she was forced to perceive herself that way because she was the only black girl in the group. That’s how black ppl feel period, can’t imagine how hard it just be in the industry
It was just Simon who vouched for her. Only Simon liked her that much on Xfactor.
@Yihi Tooj heaux sthu he was better than Demi and Brittney!
@Yihi Tooj 😂🤣
I wish we protected women more in these spaces.
seeing her get emotional shows how much she was affected cuz if there's one thing we know about mani is that she does not cry on camera
Normani your NATION will always support no matter what you are very talented don't listen to know one cuz you even have support from top tier artist that's crazy your growing can't wait to here more music from you!!!
PERIODT!
Aw. I can see how calculated she is in this interview. She’s being careful with what she says , but I see her opening up. We do love you, Normani 🤍.
THE NATION LOVES YOU NORMANI AND WILL ALWAYS STAND BY YOU
Hate to see Normani cry. 😢 But it's a really good thing that she is finally expressing herself the way she genuinely wants to, love her so much ❤️
I've never seen her that vulnerable.. i'm so proud of her
Normani is an EXTREMELY beautiful and talented person, I hope she gets all the love and credit she deserves, I just hate how so many people are so critical of everything she does and won’t give her a chance to grow as an artist like her peers.
Same, she needs to be protected at all costs
Me too!
same ❤️
She feel like my lil sister. I jus wanna protect her
i can't be there for her in that way (i wish i could) but i'm glad you and others like you exist
I’m sorry CxH are not friends and as far as Doja maybe but not extremely close
@@titlepending1302 she is friends with chloe and halle and doja what are u talking about . they don’t gotta be extremely close to be friends.
@@titlepending1302 She's been friends with CxH for years... and she's also friends with Doja, she's literally said it.
Incredible interview, Zane holds the space with so much compassion for a vulnerable Normani. Appreciate this a lot ❤️
Yes Manibear the true nation is right behind you from the start. People dont understand why we wait, we may have felt discouraged while waiting but we never give you up. Cant wait to hear more
we need more Normani and Zane human beings for a better world. They are so kind, gentle, humble, understanding and do their jobs with passion. they know how to listen when they get conversation and they know how to listen themselfs too. Also this interwiev was like a flowing clean water with peacefully.
This is one of the reasons i always loved. Shes always so genuine, honest and sweet evertime i see her. Keep shining Normani can't fir the album
You deserve to have it Normani! Hearing you say you felt like you didn't broke my heart! ❤️
That part was sooo sad to hear😢
Frfr 💔
I really want her to do more interviews and hear her talk more about her album and her upcoming projects….like wheww girl We’re rooting for you so much and we have your back and we can’t wait to prove them wrong! We love you mani 🤗🤗🤗🤗🥰🥰🥰🥰
Normani looks so beautiful in this interview.
How can you not love her, she’s getting to know herself and giving us the best. I love me a girl who is self aware and can process and reflect.
I'm so glad that Normani had this breakthrough with her music. Watching her be vulnerable and near tears broke my heart. Her fans are here to lift her up and celebrate this moment and many more to come.
She's so beautiful and I'm so happy that she felt comfortable enough to feel vulnerable with us🥺🖤
This was so perfect and so honest! I cried with her, I laughed with her…! Thank you so much, mani, for sharing your heart and being vulnerable with us 😭❤️
I just love her ,seeing her vulnerable made me realise that she is only human trying to navigate through this world just like the rest of us..I will always support her.
I'm glad Normani took her time to grow and do what she wants. Nothing is worst than looking back and seeing a life you didn't want to live.
Keep doing you and growing into NORMANI! 💕
Shes so gorgeous, all of her haters are jealous of natural beauty 💯 I know she a tough young lady and definitely has a whole life ahead of her and success
I love Normani. Like it’s one thing to just be an artist but to be human in your art, like this interview alone is so inspiring and healing. I can’t wait to watch the rest of her journey ❤️
Oh beautiful black queen. She deserves all the rewards for working hard. Just know as fun we love you.
“Fair” is a true masterpiece, well done Mani!! 💕
I’m just so so proud of Normani😭 she’s so precious and deserving of all the success she is getting and will continue to get.💜💜
Normani your so important for all of us, don't forget it, we love you forever baby, and your music is amazing ❤
Honestly, hands down, this is the one of the most amazing interviews I have ever seen. Normani, thank you for being so brave to be so vulnerable and honest to open up to show your true authentic self that is the true definition of strength. Like you said “what is for you is for you” and that includes people. On a different topic, Zane, you are truly one of my favorite interviewers. The way you care and respect the person you interview is so rare. Keep doing what you are doing. GOD bless you!
Normani!😭 you are meant to be exactly where you are! We love you!
She deserves all the success in the world. Such a beautiful girl and amazing talent, she’s just perfection
how could anyone dislike her?!
Shes just honest and pure, and even more, shes just...nice.
wait.
so there's people that DISlike her?!?
WHERE THEY AT
Jealousy,Envy,Colorism,Racism
@@nychous This weird man did a whole video saying that she's boring and just doesn't like her for literally no reason. Someone reacted to her fair song and it was obvious that they were nicki fans so of course they was doing the most🙄that's why I'm not listening to that Coi leray and Nicki song
@@Chxcobxby This! And it’s mostly gay men or men in general that just be hating on her for anything she does…. mostly barbs too idc what anyone says bc it’s true.
The strength it must’ve took to verbalize that inner doubt🥺🥺 Normani, SOOOOO many people are rooting for you ❤️
We all know when she cried and said those words she thought about 5H! For the record babe, we all knew you were a star!
Normani you are a STAR
4:56 omg 😭 she’s so amazing. It took me until 30 to realize my potential, so to hear someone who made it so young make it and now reflecting years later and still feeling this selfless emotion is so beautiful to see 🌹
When she start crying I start crying my god my bby 🥺🥺🥺
OMG I loved this interview I love Normani so much she’s so classy for her age and very mature
This was an amazing and captivating interview. She's beautiful inside and out and Fair is an absolutely Timeless track. So melodic and intimate and breathtaking.
Fair is Haunting, Healing & Honest.
It's the Lyrics, the beat, the vocals, ...those airy notes layered in the background combined with her emotional connection to it....Stunning!
Zane thank you for helping our girl feel safe enough to share. Your straight Aces, dude.
FR FR
And Normani... We love you and this record and respect you and everything you've given.
Day 1 Nation, Baby!!
Normani is so talented and she’s come so far in so many ways! Beautiful to see! Can’t wait for the album… & Fair is a bop!!! 🤎🙌🏾
Normani you should always be yourself. That's enough.

Normani is officially a New artist and I’m super happy she’s now ready to release more music
I really like her voice. 😍 Like, I’ve never really heard her speak before, and wow…
NORMANI IS STUNNING!!! Beautiful gorgeous amazing sweet and kind person 🌟
I hate that she doesn’t realize how amazing she is. I LOVE HER!!! 😭
I know right that's why we have to be careful how we speak and treat others
@@amaraturner5764 🎯
she's so beautiful
I Love Normani all the way from South Australia 🇦🇺 ❤️ I've watched her from the start 5H Days to her Solo she deserves it so much I love her voice & especially her dancing ❤️
Oh my god, normani seeing u in peace with your self & heart like this is so a pleasure to experience it with you. U let ur self be who u are & not holding back for being vulnerable is an amazing thing u ever did to urself. I almost cry :') and no matter what people say about u, if u do what u think is right, ur gonna be okay. We still love you, don't let people makes a narrative about u, do u normani!!!! We love youu & support u♥️♥️
Wow she has definitely came a long way and it’s amazing to see .. this song for me was definitely reminding of where I came from and how I’ve overcame that feeling to see that we are all human no matter who or what, we all go through emotions and it’s so amazing to see her share it .
This was a really great interview. U facilitated a safe space for her to be super vulnerable. Kudos to u. In any event, I think she's really misunderstood but there's definitely a mystique about her cause we don't know that much about her & I kinda like that. I think she's so lovely + immeasurably talented & I can't wait for her album to drop. Rooting For Normani All Day Everyday!!!
I kinda like that too. Just something so mesmerising about her... She definitely has a very mysterious energy about her... Really hooks you.
I love this girl so much many blessings to come and you are SO DESERVING ❤️❤️❤️❗️❗️🔥
This is long overdue and it's hard trying to live a life not designed for you so these elongated breaks towards the debut are needed. Glad Normani is finally coming into her own because it's not easy in an industry like this.
omg she is an angel🥺
omgggg I think I just fell in love with her!!! This vulnerability !!!!!! wow power to you Queen
Normani you dederve the world and more. You have gone through your caterpillar stages, now go and fly like the beautiful butterfly 🦋
Gotta love Normani she was awesome.
I seriously love you and feel you 100% about fighting to just be acknowledged. It’s deeper than what people realize but many don’t take the time to recognize these life defining moments take time and need to be processed by the individual organically and authentically… instead it’s easy for outsiders to ignore someone’s personal growth and instead will criticize and scrutinize one’s journey. Let’s not do that, life take time, and a body of work such as Normani’s music is her life’s work.
200 days and counting, I know you're my favorite still
The best opening I guess for me
I am lucky that I got to see that artistic behind the scene of a song through these interviews.
Amazing Amazing Amazing.
Nothing less.
Normani❤❤
no you don’t understand how much I love and adore this woman watching her grow into the artist she is today makes me so emo. Normani is not going anywhere.
We love you, Normani. Always have and always will.
glad to see normani finally opening up and being vulnerable...her growth as a person and artist is obvious, its not easy..she has come along way. rooting for her 🔥
Amazing interview 🙌🏼 ‘Fair’ is nothing less than beautiful. Thank you, Normani, for this art. 💜
NORMANI YOU ARE THAT GIRL AND DONT YOU FORGET IT
Shes stunning inside and out!
Omg I felt her when she was saying it was not supposed to be me😭.she is so amazing and inspiring ♥️♥️♥️♥️.Mani you are the view and we are going to continue support you.
I can totally agree, I beat myself up 💯‼️ but coming from a person in the exact same shoes but not there yet, you deserve it and Being critical on yourself is low key a gift. It all ties in from expectations and quality and timing… if you know where I’m going, but what God got for you, no one can take it away. Keep doing NORMANI And living, thank you and thank God for you🙏🏽
She is such a beautiful person. Just gorgeous really. Hearing and seeing her vulnerability 💔😢
You can tell she is been true a lot and most of people and she is trying to heal..i love you normani so muc and you are going to win
We love Normani. I hope she loves herself hard. She is worth it and worthy.
This interview… the emotion. So real. So relatable.
