Toured in this for the first time yesterday and it was awesome. Very well made and comfortable. Love the zippers in the front for skins and whatever else. I literally forgot I was wearing it which was a big change from my small dawn patrol backpack. I was wondering what you guys had in mind for all the attachment points? What type of add on packs or accessories did you think people would use with all the extra mounting points and straps and stuff?
Hey Tomas - we are fans of airbag technology ourselves, but even with airbags burial is not 100% avoidable. We have spent 6 years developing a solution to suffocation under the snow, which is the cause of death in 3 out of 4 avalanche accidents. SBX is also a very compact and lightweight system, weighing only 520 g and taking up 0.75L in this vest. If you are ever freeskiing in the ski area, or other lift-access terrain where you are choosing to take your avalanche equipment, but leave your airbag at home because of its weight, then this vest is a perfect choice.
backcountry vests rule, looking forward to trying this one and seeing what you've done with it
wise words here. love the aesthetic and functionality.

Can the Safeback SBX travel internationally or are there issues flight wise due to the batteries?
No worries travelling with these batteries in carry on or checked bags. We have flown with them around the world.
Why should I buy this over standard airbag backpack ?
