It's good to see him winning.
2-time British F3 Champion(1971 and 1972) and was also doing quite well in F2 in 1973
Fantastic footage, Roy. In the F.2 race it can be seen also John Surtees. Just 6 days before (10.09.1972) he had raced hist last F.1 GP at Monza. I should make a control in my library but I can not exclude that that of Oulton park was just the last time Surtees drove a racing machine. That year (1972) he won two F.2races (Fuji and Imola) - the last wins in his unrepeatable racing career.
Good to see the informal dress code operated by the Surtees team with mechanics in period denim !!
Great film with Oulton looking splendid.
What a staggering and extremely priceless piece of film history this is and it's shocking to look back at the lack of safety measures compared to modern racing, thank goodness for the leadership of drivers like Jackie Stewart for driving improvements.

Interesting that a number of the F1 drivers were in the F2 race. I'll go look and see if that was a regular thing to do in that era.
Very much a regular thing. Also other categories , touring cars etc

Il motivo che non c'era Gabriella Noris era perche' questa era una gara di F2 campionato inglese e lei andava a quelle valide per l'Europeo
la Surtees TS10 guidata dal suo costruttore e' probabilmente la stessa usata da Mike Hailwood per vincere l'Europeo
