The moment around 8:40 when you guys woke up and Mr. Camper buried his head in your armpit, that straight up MELTED ME!!!!! You're correct, he is absolutely incredible! If you know what to look for, you can actually see the relief and love in his eyes from you two inexplicably finding each other somehow, in the strangest and most unexpected way possible!! THAT is what I call Fate!!!!!

A good dog can melt even the coldest of hearts. They truly are our best friends, and one of the best blessings you can ever have.
The places y'all visited in this video are on my bucket list. In the next few years I plan on making an epic road trip to hit the spots out west I've dreamed of visiting for years.
2 days ago we took in a Terrier/Bird dog mix puppy that chose his owners. Over the past year he's been coming over to visit. After realizing the owner didn't really want him along with some other messed up stuff going on we took him in and he acts like he's lived here for years. He's even house trained and neutered. Gave him a bath and the first night he crawled under the covers with me and slept all night. My 2 year old Lab Mix is getting lonely and needs a playmate. We named him Pete after the Lab mix's brother that got lost at 6 months old on the 4th 2 years ago and never found him. So sad but this dog looks so much like him.

Camper really didn’t look like he wanted to get out if bed that first morning. He looked so content.
It’s weird how dogs just seem to know some things. He really looked like he knew he’d just found his forever home.

I admit it, I've never been so envious of a dog before! But Camper is the luckiest and most lovable dog I've ever seen. The best part is that he has you in his life! And that explains my envy, which is different from jealousy. He earned his place with you and I'm glad he has it.

Such an amazing time you had with your mother. During my 4 years camping thru the states, starting next week actually, I'm definitely going to do this with my daughters if they can sink time off from their jobs. Solo travel memories are great for sure however, memories such as this with family are truly something you'll never forget and cherish for your lifetime.

Camper reminds me so much of a dog we had before she passed away at age 16. Her name was Niki and looked very much like your Camper. Loved her so much and miss her always. Also my husband and I went to Grand Canyon and he wanted to walk down as far as he could. I wasn't able to, (I love to hike) because we had just arrived in Arizona and I was dizzy from the altitude :( Still beautiful from the top but we hope to go back someday and allow me to aclimatize, then walk down. Thank you for sharing and taking me back, such a beautiful place. We also brought back a dog from Sedona, Arizona (where we stayed) from the Humane Society. They were holding an adopt a pet day at the Starbucks and we had went over to get coffee. I was introduced to a small 3 legged dog and it was love at first sight. I picked him up the next morning before we had to leave for the airport to return home and he is loving his life. We live in Ontario by Lake Huron on a large property and he is loving it. We also have 3 other dogs and they all love each other. All are rescues, either from Humane Society or family members that could not keep their dog. My brother passed away in 2019 so I have his dog now, a toy poodle. Love dogs. Thanks for your videos, they are inspiring.
Awesome story about Camper! Reminds me about how my girl wandered out of the woods in North Carolina to me. Now she lives it up in Colorado! Would like to go fulltime on the road at some point. Did pretty well last March to September. Been recovering from ACL/meniscus surgery but about ready to get back out there. Keep living your best life!

I love these videos! Very inspiring. Makes me want to get out and into the great outdoors. Unfortunately, my dog is very old and has arthritis. The car is no longer fun for her, but as soon as I can, I'm taking my Subaru to Sedona (one of my favorite places on Earth!).
