Hi i Have the Same one I got my in Christmas/2021 and it's a great Minelab Go-Find 66 i really Recommended im from Oregon im new in the Hobby i like Metal Detecting it's a Great Hobby Thanks for your videos Good Luck Hunting God Bless and be Safe
I use the Vanquish 440 but these are a great machine. Those asking about gold , yes it will find gold. But this depends on the size and depth and the fact that gold is usually found in highly mineralised soil which will cause issues with many metal detectors. Everyone wants gold but if it was that easy , the price wouldn't be what it is and I'd be giving up my day job to become a millionaire. I metal detect for fun , not to become rich.
Lives in my car ready to go. Great machines if anyone starting off want to pick it up easy and enjoy the fun. Some good finds with it too. Its a keeper
It is not traditionally used for finding nuggets, I don't believe they're are sensitive enough nor capable for going the depths needed to find nuggets.
Though not much effort was a good review. Just bought this for my son turning 9 he has been absessed with mining for years so thought bugger it buying him a semi decent metal Detector and a pick.
money4you hey mate, I’m sure he’ll enjoy it. I’m in Brisbane, unfortunately I haven’t had the time to use it since this video! Hopefully the next week I’ll get out and do some detecting. And yes popular beaches early morning or late arvo is perfect
@@yeahnahjames786 I tested it last night, I did drop it on concrete bt not much damage, nothing bit duck tape wont fix lol, found $6 in gold coins, Australian dollar coins and 2 dollar coins plus a singapore dollar coin, no rings yet just a matter of time, far as I can tell it works as well as my x terra 705 duel
@@yeahnahjames786 Im at coogee beach in Sydney about to take it for another spin, lots rich ppl in this area plus loads of tourists, I EXPECT to find at least ONE expensive ring today *EVIL GRIN*
Was at balmoral beach today sand that SHOULD have comtained expensive jewelry maybe it does bt I had kids following me everywhere wanting to help find treasure lol, barely room to move surrounded by kids CUTE bt anoying haha so I said bye im off goimg home bt lied just to get away from the kids went to other side of beach found NOTHING bt lots junk targets, I admit tho I didn't get a chance to scour the entire beach, well im off to Hyde park tomorrow try my luck at some relics 😆
andon angel yeah unfortunately when it comes to populated areas, best time to go is early morning or late afternoon when there aren’t as many people around. Unfortunately too in popular areas you’ll find more junk as well. Don’t give up, you’ll find some decent stuff!
@@yeahnahjames786 Im studying how ya typical beach works and where jewelry usually ends up the most and how weather moves them around ect, simple knowledge that may make all the difference, unlike most ppl im not working daily so ive got extra time to look for treasure and take advantage of the potential riches that await, balmoral beach didn't like me it never gave me a ring, balmoral beach never proposed to me 😠
Nokta macro Simplex+ is fully waterproof to 10 feet and it finds gold just fine , go find 66 doesn't work really well for gold as it's frequency is below the threshold to find gold . You want to find gold find a Garret GTI machine which is pulse induction
I had bad experience with this detector. 1. Not stable, detectors frame is moving and materials are all plastic. 2. Pinpoint is strange but usable. 3. Sometimes ground balance is unusable in some places. 4. Gives a lot of fake signals. 5. Not a lot of sounds. I recommend xterra-305. Almost the same price, frame is made from metal bars and they dont move, way more sounds, changable coils. Downsides are no bluetooth, no app, and if u change to double-d coil it gets pretty heavy. If u have to choose between gofind and xterra, xterra would be the winner. Xterra ir way more professional.

I like it as it compact but is any good for gold nuggets thanks as that what I want to use it for
