I have a suggestion.. for the sake of the test don't use a merc at all.. (put the kids away baby) and for this reason you can truly test your heals vs DPS vs tanking vs what you can truly tank without worrying about healing...

was running to an exp camp in new Frontier Mountains on my 104 beastlord with a f2p healer merc in tow when a named lvl 107 gnome attacked me. took forever, but i killed it molo with that healer merc. I did have to heal my pet in addition to the merc healing it though. that named was chunking off some serious HP

I started playing my BL now also...working through my alts and giving my necro and ranger a break. A nice little macro to help keep the pet tanking well involves the aa "Playing Possum"... it goes, roughly, PP>pause 5>stand>attack...the agro drop isn't guaranteed, but it works most of the time and PP has a short cooldown, so can try again pretty quickly. Maybe it's my Ranger/Caster tendencies, but I like managing my agro to let the pet tank as much as possible. Them BL pets, in DEF mode, can tank WAY better than I ever can...I never get raid gear though. I also like to be as lazy as possible;> So I tend to manage my mana using the DOTs to help on damage instead of the nukes. I know the nukes are more damage, at least thats what I've heard, but I hate getting spamming keys too much when playing....take away from my Air Guitar time when listening to my music while I play;> hehe Rock on.
Apologies if you've already answered this. I'm trying to make a macro to cast the three DoT spells for the BL that you have mentioned in this video. No matter what 'pause' I try to use one of the three never seems to cast and I have no idea what's going on. What is the macro you use for your DoTs, and what is the one you use for your Direct Damage spells? Other useful macros would be nice too. If you have this explained in a video, point the way and I shall watch. :)

Caution: Make sure to look at the pet buffs you put on your pet for damage procs. Some will lower the pets agro and some will not. Some will stay on the pet for full duration and some have a proc limit and will fade after a certain number of procs. When I started playing my BL lately, I was used to the pet proc buff being damage only. (My BL is about 20 yrs old) I didn't bother reading the descriptions on the buffs closely and it threw me off for a while because the pet wouldn't hold agro hardly at all! The text seems accurate, unlike the spell info for ranger spells, so just make sure to read it and know what you want;>
Now quick question, if u delete the character you still get the boost back correct ? They did that with the old 85 boost so u could try out different classes you just had to transfer off the silver off the first character that they give you. Was just curious as I was considering getting back into things
I'd played EQ from US release until Omens of War and then got burnt out. I then played Warcraft until Legion and abandoned that due to the RNG loot drop element and constant grind to get something. So I thought I'd return back to EQ after a very long gap. The biggest problem I'm finding is the vast amount of content, zones and new systems that has been added. It's really daunting and a struggle to take in. Even taking "starter" quests from PoKnowledge assumes you know how to navigate to the required zone to complete the quests. Maybe you could do a returning players guide and expand on each of the new systems introduced by each expansion because the guides I've tried to find really don't help much.
@@hammackj I was thinking more of an editorial piece where you show each expansion and what each brought to the table, which systems each expansion brought in - maybe showcasing it. Right now I have no idea what is out there and so don't know what I'm missing and could easily be making the game much harder than it needs to be.

I didn't recall the Tribute system, nor the Berzerker class, at all from Gates of Discord, and yet I distinctly remember having achieved my epic 1.5 on my Shaman and was working on the 2.0 that came out in the later expansion Omens of War (which caused friction in my raiding guild because player assistance to complete the stages was being held back for those still trying to achieve 1.5 epics, so anyone who invested the time to get ahead were effectively punished). Now we just need a continuation of that series :)

What kind of monitor do you use? I can see the text clearly at 1080p / 1440p and 4k on different monitors. Do you change the resolution on the gear icon on the TH-cam player to match your monitor?

Fnt mnt is good ring of scale is doable for most heroic 100 but I took the easier path with shards landing.

Good point. I clearly didn’t read to much for this. I am starting a solo beastlord series soon that will go at more into detail on stuff.

That is exactly what I have done with all these characters except for 2. Move all the stuff then delete and remake.
Wish they would fix the controls for the Ghostrider's mount.. you cant go down if you are levitating unless you press the END key.

the warder can hold agro with taunt and also the BITe proc line the dps proc line pet buff lowers hate the Bite line does not.

Most classes can molo just fine. What are you leaning towards?
heroic 85 worth nothing on FV with those cheap tradable raid gear, you can level up from level 1 to 85 within 1 day.

Mercs only have f2p and gold tier now. All my accounts are gold tier. Which is the old j5 rank
why is the ui so small now its so hard to read anything ingame compared to years ago
