Having same problem. Thanks for sharing your experience, next step is to rotate the tyres and see if same happens for me. I have also been Volvo who have been useless.
Sorry to hear that this is happening to you as well. I would first check that the front tires are from the same manufacturer and same exact model (to avoid discrepancies in the pattern). Then, I would check for tire pressure, and for tire balance. I always bring my cars to discount tires and they are really great. They will check the balance for you. This last check should reveal imperfections/damages to the tire and/or to the rim. If all the above is good, I would go for an alignment. I am not sure how old your Volvo is, maybe as a last resort I would check bearings(?).
