Lol hell yes! You're going to love Egypt. It can definitely be done on a small budget if you don't buy packaged tours and can plan your own trip and how to get around. And it's a lot more adventurous that way as well, you get to experience a lot more of the local life when you do it yourself instead of being herded around with a guide and a bunch of other tourists! 😁
Hi Giselle! I’ll be flying to Cairo in 3 weeks. Can’t wait to escape the Canadian winter. Every night I watch your Egypt videos before going to sleep lol. Thank you for the amazing content and sharing your journey! If you happen to be in Cairo mid December would love to meet up. Cheers.
What's up Hasan, that's awesome you're going to be in Cairo soon! And thanks for supporting my channel by watching my videos, that means the world to me! Most likely I will be in Cairo then, definitely just hit me up when you are here and if I'm free, for sure we can link up! Have you been to Egypt before? I noticed your name (although it could be from anywhere), are you Egyptian by chance? Talk soon man 😁
@@Gventures haha I know my name sounds Egyptian but i'm not :) I've been to Egypt once many years ago and instantly fell in love. never had a chance to go back but here I come now! will definitely hit you up will be amazing if we can meet. I'm off to Jeddah and Muscat after but man the excitement and buildup for Cairo doesn't even compare LOL! :D talk soon Giselle!
Hi Gisselle , I just like the way you give a lot of time to reply for the comments , thanks for the effort , your videos make me switch my retirement planning from Asia Thailand 🇹🇭 to Egypt 🇪🇬 , I live in Melbourne , Australia 🇦🇺 .
I do love interacting with people, I think it's cool to hear their feedback, see the kind of people that enjoy watching my videos ❤ But whoa, my videos have caused you to change your retirement plans?! I don't know if I want to hear I have that much influence! Haha😅 But I am sure you changing your plans includes a variety of other factors as well, not just my videos. Were you debating on Egypt before...? I have heard Thailand is a very popular choice for retirement; and for good reason, they seem like a nice option. Egypt and Thailand, completely different places from one another! But I suppose you have been to both and settled on Egypt for your own reasons. Lots of people do like to settle down over near the Red Sea as well. I'm glad you enjoy my videos so much, thank you! 🥰🙏
Heheh, they do have them here in Egypt! I think you'll find them more more easily in Luxor though. It's a smaller town so easier to get to restaurants that sell them, and it is also a very touristic town, so there are quite a few restaurants that serve camel burgers because of that. Thanks so much for watching! ❤
It all looks sooooooooooo good. Especially the tea. On a different subject. What is the tattoo on your upper right arm? I was trying to see what it was everytime you swung the camera around. Lol.
@@charlieellis5334 Beef, hehe. Actually it did taste like beef to me though. I think it was because it was cooked for so long and in that sauce, so the flavor dominated everything. I would like to try camel steak or just grilled, not covered in a sauce, then I think I can get a sense for how it actually tastes. It's like when I tried salt water crocodile pizza in Australia, it just tasted like chicken to me, but I think it was because it was on a pizza and there was so much else going on, it was hard to get the real flavor of just the crocodile. It was still good, and so was the Tagin, but overpowered by the Tagin sauce and the pizza/cheese/sauce when I ate the crocodile. You ever try some "strange" foods?
@@Gventures Giselle my family are hillbillies from Willis Texas. In my almost 48 years of living on this rock flying through space I have eaten goat, beef, squirrel, rabbit, alligator tails and ox tails. Our motto growing up was "you kill it, we grill it." Lmao! I'll eat anything that doesn't eat me first. 😉😜😎
@@charlieellis5334 Lol, wow! I've never heard of alligator tails, that's a new one! Cool. I like trying foods that aren't so commonly eaten. The least appetizing thing I tried was probably scorpion, because, well, it's a scorpion. And I ate the claws 😆 Tasted like chewing on smoked wood
Thanks, i have to check out this location next time. Are there also options without waiting long time or ordering long time before? I wonder why i never found camel options in central cairo or elsewhere. You promised camel liver at the beginning but never delivered it.
Ha, I made no such promises! I mentioned kebda because it was mentioned to me, but so was molokhia and that never made an appearance either 😝😆😁 But unfortunately, unless you know the person and can call ahead I don't think you'll be able to avoid the long wait time for it to be prepared. Even with him calling ahead (he knew the owner) we still sat there waiting for quite some time. But if it's an experience you'd like to try I'd just set some time aside for it and be prepared to wait, I've really wanted to try it for a while now so it was worth it to me. I dunno why you didn't find it in Cairo...but I guess I haven't stumbled upon it in central Cairo either. People eat it in villages and rural areas more, maybe? And also I think in Giza it's more popular to find, especially as Mohamed mentioned in the video, in Kirdasah there are quite a few places that serve it.
Hi Gesselle..cause you reached kerdasa and stayed one year here and you have been eaten CAMEL meat and liver..there is no need to speaK English and you should speak ARABIC 😂😂🐪....delicious video😋

You definitely should visit here when you return, it's not a common thing to find abroad and it was delicious! Just takes a while so be prepared to wait 😅And yeah I do know, I always try to share the price of things because I also want to know how much things should cost when I am going to a country and am unsure of what I should be paying, and I really want my videos to not only be entertaining or interesting (hopefully), but also informational so people can have a better idea of what to expect.

Hey gev can you do a video where you rate the best luxurious malls in egypt like cairo festival city vs city satrs and mall of Arabia vs mall of egypt city center almaza etc to see which one is the best from your perspective as foreigner
To be honest....I think this is unlikely to happen, for several reasons. I do have a plan to go and film in a fancy mall at some point, but my plan was to only film in one, just to show what's inside. Going to many...is quite a lot of work, and I'm probably not the best person to make reviews of malls. 1st reason, I am probably not the best person to review malls because I don't like malls, I have never really liked malls my entire life, and I also hate shopping. 2nd issue is because they are located all over the place and far from each other, so it would take me a lot of time and money to get to each mall to film. 3rd problem that may arise, I am not even sure if they will allow filming, I may get stopped inside and told I can't film (I have been told many times to stop filming when indoors) and then I traveled all that way to film in the mall for nothing. So you can see why this is likely not to happen. But if I do find myself in all of these separate malls at some point I will try to film and maybe over time I will compile enough video visiting different malls to make a video about it sharing my opinion on the best one
