Interesting. Aegon is in the game, along with his companions, but currently has no scripted events. In the books, he has already made his move, and Daenerys hasn't yet.
Yeah, i thought that was weird too, but i guess they are either prioritizing show viewers, or just wanted to get the dragons into the game as quick as possible.
@@Dare_To_Game The mod definitely appears to be show-centric insofar based on what relatively little I've played the past week. For example, Asha Greyjoy (book) is instead named Yara (show). Winterfell and Dragonstone are very clearly modelled after their show versions, and Dragonstone is missing its signature active volcano Dragonmont even after its recent big update. Daenerys is also dressed in her black Season 7/8 clothes. Granted, the mod is still in development, so changes are to be expected for the future. They definitely need to dedicate someone to work on the faces of the characters, because many of them don't look at all like either the show versions or how they are described in the books lol
a few weeks ago I watched some of Lionheart's RoT stuff, somewhere in there he said Ned Stark is already listed dead at day 1, so probably he's not saveable. My guess is the message only fires on day 6 to not overwhelm the game right at the start and potentially cause crashes
I was able to kill Joffery once in time, though it is VERY difficult, and sadly I had ROT events turned off. It was at the very start of the game when I started in the crownlands, I immediately bought a full army of 20 troops, then saw Joffery outside of kings landing with an army of 40ish, and decided to see what happened. I saved the game, attacked his group and 2-3 attempts later I was able to beat him (he starts off with mounted kings guard and stuff and I only had the basic normal troops). I won by hiding in the trees and using my spear on foot to take out the cavalry, and then have my army distract theirs and start swining against their back, we started loosing, but they were able to survive just long enough for morale to hit them and they retreated, Joffery was already dead so we captured him and ran away, then I decided to save again and kill him
This mod is good appearance wise, except the faces that is. But my problem with it is the same as with vanilla game, it's just not immersive. The wars seem grindy, the characters don't really have personalities other than couple of unique dialogue lines which again do nothing. I wish they added new quests and some diplomacy options. Or story mode quest like that ASOIF mod for Warband. I thoroughly enjoyed playing that mod because you were essentially barred from progressing the story unless you put in the effort to get more and better troops to defeat the Wildlings on that bridge for example. I'm kinda sad that we have everything that we wanted in Bannerlord yet the game feels like an empty shell of repetitve grind after 20 hrs. I thought there would be mods by now that will fix it but as the time goes on I lose hope there will be something like Perisno, ASOIF, 1800 mod. Anno Dommini 1278. I feel like the modders have given up on Bannerlord because it's been years and except for this mod we've gotten nothing like the large scale overhaul mods of Warband that I enjoy playing 15 years after their release.
So there is an events page for the mod that exists. I won't link it, but I will provide a summary. Ned's Execution- you cannot prevent it. He is listed dead day 1, but you get the pop up day 6. My guess is they waited to post the event in the script to prevent crashes, but you cannot save Eddard. This event also sees the north and riverlands, dragonstone, and stormlands all declare war on the westerlands. Melisandre's Influence- This is a warning in case you want to save Renly and have him continue to rule the stormlands over Stannis. You can prevent his death but only by executing Stannis. Executing Melisandre herself will not prevent it, it has to be Stannis and you must do it before you see the next event. Renly's Death- This event is preventable if you killed Stannis, but this simply announces his death. Either you didn't do anything in time or you weren't trying to save Renly, in either case he dies and Stannis gains all but the Tyrells in terms of the nobles who made up Renly's faction. The Tyrells join the Westerlands. Blackwater- This event is not preventable by normal means in the game, and will cripple Stannis's hold on The Stormlands. If nothing is done to help him, he will eventually be pushed back to only Dragonstone and maybe Storm's End before the next Stannis event where he will lose everything in the south. Joyous Occasion- This event is a warning similar to Renly's warning. There are currently 2 ways in the game to prevent The Red Wedding. Method one is simply execute Roose Bolton. This will unfortunately lower your relations with the north faction if you were trying to save Robb for a north faction playthrough, but is the easiest way to prevent the wedding outright. Simply find Roose and kill him. Method two actually prevents the wedding as well, without lowering your relations with the north, but is much harder. You must go to The Twins, accept a mission to save Robb, in which you must escort him out of the keep without him dying (he will fight to the death so you either need to save scum or order him to stay in the room while you solo all of the guards) and then the wedding is foiled, with Bolton and some other factions still turning to the westerlands but saving Robb in the process. They will not lose Winterfell to the Boltons, and most of the houses that turn will stay, but Bolton will still turn I believe. Still needs more testing, recent update. The Red Wedding- This event is the marking of too late to save Robb and the north. The North will live on but it will be much harder for the north from here on. Bolton, Umber, Karstark, and some others will turn on the north. The Riverlands will also soon get rolled by the westerlands if nothing is done to save them. This event is preventable only if you acted before this event happened but after Joyous Occasion. Or if Roose is dead before this event. Purple Wedding- Nothing can be done by normal means in game to prevent this event. Geoffrey will simply die and his brother becomes the new faction leader with little other changes in terms of power sway for his faction like the big swing that happens from the previous wedding. Stannis to Eastwatch- This event is not preventable by any normal means unless Stannis is dead. Stannis will leave all of his holdings in the south and go to the north. This means even if he held dragonstone, storm's end, or any other lands, he loses them and goes to Eastwatch. This can seriously cripple Stannis as he goes to holding just 1 castle that can be easily taken until a few days later when he gains the Karstarks. Even this isn't enough sometimes and the Westerlands will take Karhold and Stannis will lose all of his holdings. But this is not always certain to happen, sometimes he will hold Karhold for a long time other times not, depending on player interference/ random choices made by the AI. Dany Invasion- Scripted event that is not preventable unless Dany is dead before the event happens. She will take Dragonstone and several nobles will join her faction to give her a foothold in Westeros. They join her because otherwise the Westerlands would simply roll up and wreck her due to how obscenely powerful they are at this point in the game if the other events were not prevented. She will prioritize trying to take King's Landing but she will struggle to besiege it successfully without help most of the time. I've watched her try and fail multiple times, with her only taking it when I joined the siege with her myself. And yes, this is with her dragons which are pretty strong in this mod. So I mentioned that some events were not preventable by normal means. There is a .dll script in the mod's discord that can be put in the folder that lets you skip any event in the console commands. This works for any event except for the first one, which will prevent the declarations of war by the north, stormlands, and dragonstone on the westerlands, but will not save Eddard or Robert Baratheon, they are simply dead day 1 and that cannot be prevented by skipping the events. If you skip the warning events, the main event may still happen, for example Renly's death or the Red Wedding. But you can also skip these events as well and that will prevent whatever is scripted to happen from happening. Such as Stannis losing a lot of territory in Blackwater event or going to Eastwatch and abandoning his holdings. That pretty much concludes the current events in the mod, though more are on the way. It is speculated, but not certain, that we will see in the future events dealing with Dany taking slaver's bay, events with the iron islands, such as the death of Balon and the king's moot, events involving the night's watch and the others, and possibly more, but nothing is set in stone just yet from what I gather. Just be on the lookout for future updates to the mod, videos get uploaded about new updates and changes all the time when the updates are on the way or new to download. Edit: To clear up one other potential question if anyone has it. Saving Renly, or using cheats to skip any event does NOT end or prevent other events not tied to preventing an event. So even if you save Renly by conventional means, the Red Wedding can still happen, Dany can still invade westros, stopping one event will not prevent other events aside from the ones tied directly to it. So killing Stannis will save renly, prevent blackwater, and prevent the sailing to eastwatch, but the red wedding, purple wedding, etc will all still happen unless you prevent them or skip them with commands if you chose to enable that.
Thanks for this summary, I’m currently playing this mod for the first time and and doing a Northerner play through unfortunately I swore an oath to Robb to early and couldn’t kill Roose Bolton and didnt know about the mission at the twins so the red wedding occurred and the north fell apart. My saving grace was that we kicked the Iron Islands ass so I built my strength there and waged war on the westerlands to reclaim the north. I’ve been waiting for Jon to emerge as the new King of the north but if there are no more events I’ll either abdicate the throne for myself or straight up secede. Bran is the current leader and he declared war on Dany as soon as she showed up 🤦
I made the mistake of becoming a vassal of Stannis and just getting everything taken away from me after the Blackwater and then again after he moves to Eastwatch
It didn't look like there were any events from beyond the Wall. ie: The Mutiny at Craster's Keep, Jon becoming Lord Commander, etc. I hope that is added eventually.
yeah I really hope they do that too, Ive done a couple playthroughs as the free folk because its surprisingly fun, and in different ways, it would be fun to see events for if they take castle black, or even the entire wall. Something I'd LOVE to see is an event to occur for if the freefolk take all of the nightswatch and suddenly all, or atleast most of westeros declares war on them to try and push them back and reinstate the nights watch, as currently its pretty easy to stomp the world with an army of giants as literally no amount of anything in the game can compare to giants, not even dragons
After the blackwater siege nothing happened after that for me I even created a sarnori empire (sarnori are a near extinct people in essos) and conquered half of essos, after that the north lost most of its land and fell under the Baratheon alliance or the boltans but Stannis somehow took the dreadfort also dorne fell to high garden. Eventually there were three main players High garden, Baratheon alliance and my sarnori empire I even captured king's landing as what is supposed to be a dead empire 😅
Spoilers, but I figured it's worth writing this for those who want to prevent the Red Wedding: You have to go to The Twins in the 2-week period between A Joyous Occasion and The Red Wedding, and there will be a special, extremely challenging mission to save Robb.
What's the Valyrian steel situation in this game? Are there only known swords/weapons from the books and show? Or is there an opportunity to make your own?
Both. Pretty much every valyrian steel sword in the books/show is in this mod, possessed by the appropriate owner. If you defeat them in battle you can take their sword from them. There are also quite a few "generic" valyrian steel swords. And, you can craft them yourself using the parts from the existing valyrian steel models. Only thing there is, many of the parts do not mesh well together.
You also have recipes to forge lost legendary valerian steel swords bit it's difficult to get the resource to craft them without cheating. With the chrat menu in inventory you have all valerian steel swords available
I stopped playing this mod after they were caught stealing models from another Game of Thrones fan project. AGOT for CK3, and the way they handled the whole situation when they were caught is also terrible.

thanks a bunch, that was helpful to plan my endeavours

I have not seen them all yet, but i have noticed quite a few unique and cool ones.
The Mormont troops from Bear Island are arguably the best archers and horse archers.
