    I'm an epileptic, and can confirm absence seizures can be FAR more dangerous than a grand mal/tonic-clonic. You'd be amazed at how many times a day the average person is in a situation where losing consciousness for even half a second could get you maimed

      I drive everywhere for my job. 200km on average a day. Had a couple of scary instances where trying to fight fatigue I lose a couple of seconds. Have to pull over and take a 15 min nap. In some instances half a second would have sent my very large, and heavy vehicle into another vehicle or a tree.

      I have Focal seizures, diagnosed 2005, it went undiagnosed for nearly 15yrs & because it didn’t happen often, Doctors said it was low blood pressure 🤦🏼‍♀️. Finally was sent to neurologist in 2005 after it became more & more & then happening every day & after I actually blacked out completely. Then three years ago I started having different seizures & was diagnosed with Absence seizures. There’s the misconception that all epileptic seizure involves convulsions.

      I don’t have epilepsy but I didn’t sleep a few nights ago so fell asleep halfway down the stairs and fell. I was okay but can see how a second of unconsciousness is dangerous.

      That’s why I don’t drive. I’ve never been diagnosed, but I’m fairly sure I’ve had absence seizures before.

      Former nursing assistant here. Mandated reporting has absolutely nothing to do with a person's medical care. It pertains to when a person is either a threat to themselves or others, and when abuse of a minor has occurred. Sixteen is the age of legal adulthood in New Jersey. Thus under New Jersey law, the hospital is required to keep quiet, because she ordered it.

    • @crow_feather
      @crow_feather ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@shellycarter155I've gone toe to toe with law enforcement on this before, only for them to back down when they learned I was right. You're coming at this from the point of view of a cop. Hospitals aren't your normal jurisdiction. I'm coming at this from the standpoint of a medical practitioner who knows medicine and medical law, and had to practice both, daily.
      Even at 12, she's still considered a young adult at that age by law, and as such, legally privileged to all of the same rights to privacy in a hospital as an adult. In most states, New Jersey included, you are considered a young adult at the age of 10, and still granted the exact same rights to privacy at a hospital as those granted to adults. And, rightly so. I have known seemingly rational parents become outright abusive to their children upon learning they were pregnant. For many, such privacy laws can be life saving.

    Young kids believe they are smarter than the world. It's up to their parents to keep them grounded in reality and to say NO to them when appropriate.

    They went for 75 minutes but they had to condense them to under 10 minutes by taking out unnecessary and repetitive content because the old TVs couldn’t hold anything over 10 minutes.
    The mondo Houser shows are very short always less than 10 minutes because of the primitive mondo TVs they had back then. The old old old TVs could not hold more than 10 minutes of show as they used CRT Catholic Ray Tubs technology and non Dylan Mulvaney CLT or Claw Technology. No harm no fowl. They tried Dylan Mulvaney to shorten the shows advertising and tried to produce a non racist TV set with Motorola involvement with flypaper control and Dylan Mulvaney CEO.
