The smart move is to wait until you get a 1st dupe on a character you'd like a dupe passive on, like Volkin said. His advice on this game has been really solid thus far overall. (Outside of the non-mistake mistake he keeps harping on. It really isn't a big deal. XD)
I could have my rades built now. And if ppl did it for every character then they would be stuck at 4 units way too long. Excluding paid players coz the packs are rediculois value. I think its around 1500 extra daily stamina u can get as a paid player

And having your rades built now would make no difference, you're still going to need a green dps before farming with a green pve team, which means likely waiting for the upcoming banner, and he wouldn't make a difference in pvp - which is still over 2 weeks out from the season being over anyway. Plenty of time.
on world reputation you can get those ssr piece chests too, rn there are 4 which would basically give you 5 dupes for 1 of the base character with the chest you just got. BUT world reputation takes some time, so you probably will pull dupes of units on your future summons anyway before you get all those chests, tho it's still a nice little info that some people maybe didn't know about and could come in handy for f2p players.
almost done with mages path and rank 700ish in arena. I think the PvP is good, Star Rail can use a similar format if they scale the dps relative to hp a bit. your tips are super helpful

I was a bit bummed for getting a dupe for Lotus instead of a new SSR, but I'm guessing it's not that bad (despite my frustration as a collector). I always use selector chests to help whatever RNG has given me, so that's where we're headed now, I suppose.
ssr swimsuit charmy is your answer. she should be available later dec 19th. you must get at least one charmy either it's sr or ssr version. no charmy means no red dungeon farming

use ur dupe materials on noelle u can 5 star her with 1 copy with how many free ones we get and then just all in ur summons on julius bc hes most likely gonna be the only unit on the banner and the pity is 200 so guarantees him
can someone tell me if it is ABSOLUTELY necessary to have both Mars and Lotus? I currently rerolled and got Charmy Sol Lotus and S. Sliva. Is this a good enough reroll or should i aim for something better? Also pulled red Asta but idk if i should keep this account or just keep rolling lol. Thanks guys

to my understanding it doesnt work like that. it has a set list of characters u can choose and thats it. it doesnt state standard banner units or anything like that. For example, Fuegoleon is a standard banner unit but u cant get him from it

Rades, lotus and yami are the teams I stay away from in pvp, because they are god damn annoying.
