I apologize for the re-upload. There was an error in the original that needed to be fixed. Thanks!

Great review, thank you ! I already got the same and I am fully satisfied with that. For the money you get the quality and comfort.

Agree 100% with comments about the water battle pockets. I was looking for a video that discussed that feature. It looked to me like the bottle carring capability is compromised by the contents of the zip pouch behind it. Thanks

Great review, i want one! Public service announcement though: Civilians should NEVER carry a firearm in a back pack. It can be ripped off you, you can forget it if put down, etc.. In the law enforcement world, back packs carry ADDITIONAL resources, not primary resources. You will never have time to flip the bag, unzip the ccw pouch, grab a firearm and get on target in any reasonable amount of time when you are being jacked. better to carry iwb or appendix or whatever. -the weapon not in your hand will be the weapon unused in a fight. But looks like an amazing bag!

This bag is perfect. i carry everyday and work security. I work unarmed, so the ccw compartment is perfect for holstering. Expensive,, but it looks very well made. I own the sitka gearslinger. Much smaller bag not made for a laptop and ccw. i like how this bag allows for full laptop and full size 9mm.

Nice review. The 23 does offer the laptop compartment but I think the 21 can work just as well, you just need to place your laptop in a padded sleeve. I'm a big guy 6'2" so whatever backpack I have, I have a tendency to over pack it. I'm moving to smaller packs that are easier to carry and that force me to really think about what I'm going to carry that day - basically what is a need to have vice a nice to have. Price is good and for first time buyers to the site, they offer a nice 15% discount.

The material, hardware, and design look very similar to the Peak Design Everyday backpack camera bag.

Great video! I'm looking for a grey man bag that will double as a range bag for my Sig MPX-K. Would the laptop compartment be sufficient to utilize as a padded compartment for the MPX? My MPX with the optic mounted is around 17 3/4" x 13 1/4" with a mag and 17 3/4" x 10 1/4 without.

Does your side arm create a bump that digs into your back when transporting?

maxpedition love your stuff but the water bottle feature is a deal breaker.....watch the bottle pop out while he is handling the bag....maxpedition needs to modify the water pouches an/or add a chord to secure them in place...

If you stuck a ballistic plate in the laptop compartment it would be. However as sold, no. It has no ballistic armor.

I consider magnets as a risk next to my banking cards or a portable harddisk.

The lithviore is a much better pack. If your carrying your ccw in a bag/pack u might as well not even have a gun.

I want to buy this for my wife, as a commuter bag. She won't be carrying in the communist state that she will be working in. Is that CCW pocket big enough for a standard sized ballistic panel? And/or is the laptop pocket big enough to fit a laptop and a panel?

Maxpedition packs have a long history of zippers blowing out. And the company routinely REFUSES TO HONOR their so-called "lifetime warranty" when a zipper fails (check out the many negative reviews on amazon dot com for proof). They want you to pay $50 for a zipper replacement. Their packs are very durable, but what good is that when your zipper is blown? No offense to 8541 Tactical is intended.
All Maxpedition packs are overpriced. There are many other companies that offer superior products for less money. For example, 5.11, Mystery Ranch, Blackhawk, Voddoo Tactical, Eberlestock, and Condor are a few of the better companies.
I recommend the 5.11 Tactical RUSH72 Backpack which comes in 7 different colors (including grey if you are wanting the greyman look), has a 3342 cubic inch capacity, and costs only $138 on Amazon. Or the 5.11 RUSH24 pack, with a 2275 cubic inch capacity.

This person is obviously a loser. Trolls every video that features Maxpedition. Get a life.
