    I just purchased this bag and it arrived today. Only looking at this review so as to re-inform myself as to all of its features. But I can say when I opened the box and pulled it out and added a few of its accessories and loaded it up I was extremely happy with it. Super quality.

    I really dig the back pack. Very Simple and Low Key looking. I can see my testing this in the EDC bag also!

    Thank you for this great review. I have considering purchasing this bag as a bug out option to keep a low profile instead of a tact-i-cool bag. I appreciate the thorough feature demonstration

    I like the “grey man” look to the bag. Make a good get home bag but I do like my water bottle on the outside of my bags.

    I love this line, & it’s long overdue. I love everything about this pack, except one major omission... no proper water bottle pockets. Very disappointing. It’s so close to being the perfect pack... for me. I’ll wait for the water bottle pockets.

      Same old , same old. I agree completely. Maxpedition does this all the time. I love the bag but just don't understand why they don't add this "simple" option. Classic fail, again. I guess I will look closer at the Vertx.

      I was thinking the same thing. ALMOST perfect. But for $200 I will keep looking for my next urban pack.

      It does seem strange so many bags lack that. I agree.

      Is an outside water pocket that big of a feature for everybody? I prefer keeping my water bottle inside: looks cleaner from the outside and it'll never accidentally fall out.
      Or you can get an a bag with MOLLE and add a water bottle holder.

      Phafanapolis from my conversations it seems like a lot of people want an external water bottle holder, but I tend to agree it’s more streamlined to have your bottle inside.

    I like the simplistic and unassuming appearance of the pack. It doesn't draw unwanted attention which to me is better personally is an added bit of security figuratively speaking...

    While I would still throw some of Maxpedition's other bags into the Grey Man category without hesitation, this would definitely be at the tip of that proverbial spear. I don't have it, but it seems great from what you've said and I'll keep in mind for future purchases. Thanks for the review Tim!

    This looks a lot like the Vertx Gamut, which is my favorite pack, so I'm excited about this pack. I actually wrote this pack off when I first saw it because I hated those hideous magnetic wings on the front, but you're right, you can't even tell they're stored when tucked away! I didn't know they would do that. Anyway, I'm excited about this line! Thanks Tim!

    Great pack. Just wish it had an external water bottle pocket (each to their own) But personally a bottle on the inside can leak....and being on the move I want quick access to it and not to STOP and dig around for a water bottle.
    Think the Vertx gamut 2.0 is looking better all the time.

    It's a great pack!
    Stuffed a 5 kilo sack of rice in the laptop compartment as I made a grocery run for coronavirus stayhome stint.
    Cycled home with the rice, lentils, green beans, a carton of milk, a can of Spam (our local Singaporean equivalent) and a loaf of bread.
    Did its job well as an SHTF bag.
    (PS. How do I be racist against my own race without being racist? I don't want to associate with being Chinese....
    JK JK....am I?)

    @ASamson123 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    The bag looks cool. Love the interior of the main compartment. The internal hook and loop is a great choice but the external accessories are a dud to me. And looking at the entire line, the 27 and sling pack don't seem as functional as a falcon 3 or a Malaga bag. I'm more excited about the new legacy and agr products coming later honestly. Great review as always!

    I would cover up that brand label all day long.
    Anything Maxpedition automatically tells me expensive bag with, very likely, good quality and equally expensive items in it.
    Good luck bugging out or getting home with that thing.

    I like it, but would need to see a larger version before I replaced my military type soft rucks. I'd like to see a large outer pocket on the part that floors forward when unzipped. I like an additional outer pocket, large enough for a trade paperback or something similar.

    Like the low visibility look of the bag. The down side for me would be that it doesn't have enough organisation. I like a dedicated organisation pocket or panel on the front of the bag (like th 5.11 Rush 24) which unfortunately this pack doesn't have. If it did it'd be the perfect EDC bag for me. Almost there, but not quite.

    Features and organization look pretty great. The grey outside, though, just looks ugly to me. Like cheap outdoor furniture upholstery, maybe. (And this is on a computer, maybe it all looks lovely in person). I don't like the looks of a lot of Venque packs, either, which look similar to me.

    The VertX Slingbags came out in the same color this year, the 2018 version, Heather Black, how much easier do you think it is to draw from CC from their system vs this system of their CC compartment?

  • @Zarkaithnia

    Question, how does this pack compare to a pack with a frame in terms of being carried? I got a Tenzing pack and am spoiled by its frame lol.

    • @EverydayTacticalVids
      @EverydayTacticalVids  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Zarkaithnia I found kept its shape well, but I don’t think it will keep it shape as well as the back with an internal frame.

    • @Zarkaithnia
      @Zarkaithnia 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      How about the stress on your back? That's what's got me spoiled by frames lol. My current pack with everything is quite heavy, but on my back it's rather light

    • @EverydayTacticalVids
      @EverydayTacticalVids  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Zarkaithnia if I were carrying a lot of gear for a while, I’d go with something from their AGR line.

    How much did this pack cost

  • @Powernoodle_
    @Powernoodle_ 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Too expensive. We need to exert downward market pressure by buying budget bags (SOG, for example), until Maxpedition gets a clue. $190 for a backpack is cray cray.

    • @Mister_Phafanapolis
      @Mister_Phafanapolis 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I really like the design language and style of SOG bags.
      If you think this bag is pricey, check out the $$$ that Triple Aught Design is asking for a multicam black EDC pack. ;-)
