This game is surprisingly progressive. It's the first one I've seen whose voice cast is composed entirely of living TTS programs.
Thus continuing the trend of quality decreasing as progressiveness increases.

This reminds me of an Azerbaijan game called The Last DeadEnd. It also tries to be a Horror/Detective game but immediately devolves into hilarity and that unique feeling of watching an earnest yet inexperienced dev team fall flat on their face. Also the only game I can think of that deals with Zoroastrianism and lets you "JOIN THE EVIL".

I played this game a few years ago as part of a mystery game tournament and it was a blast. It's so awful to play but you just know the people who made it genuinely wanted to tell a cool story. Dark Years is bad in such unique ways, I can't help but love it.
In all seriousness, this is a game where, despite the quality being, shall we say, less than subpar, you can still tell there was heart put into it. Like, they genuinely wanted to make a good game, but just did not have the skills and practice to pull it off.
Yeah, it's bad. But it's bad with heart to it, y'know? And I hope the devs of the game take the criticism in good faith, and take the time to craft something a lot better next time.
You do realize this game was funded by Iranian government to sell propaganda story? This is why it's also hated outside of it being a bad game as well.
