I'm really mad at myself for failing to say that this figure is Bossanova, Chevy Nova, and Excellent in my review. Regardless, I love it and can't wait for the other 3! Thanks for watching!
Hi pixel Dan!!!
Pixel Dan lol it's cool I was saying it already wile you review him 😃
I. LIKE. TMNT
🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢
is it me or does it look like it came out of the movie
Pixel Dan
Looks like it came out right from the movie. Good review.
They should definitely make the smaller scales of these, would sell real good.
too bad playmates has a license on smaller figures that prevents them from releasing these in smaller scales unless they're through conventions
I agree. I would've preferred having the 1990 movie action figures made in a 12 inch scale.
Intimidation c Tyco
Future guy here to tell you that it has happened
Future man here to tell you now there’s even super cheap knock offs
"Pork rind?"
"PORK RIND!"
I'm really mad at myself for not saying this figure is Chevy Nova.
***** As long as you don't like penicillin on your pizza, you're forgiven. 🍕🍕
AZMATIK Gilligan was a geek
cosmobutt you're the geek camel breath
PJHVols wait, what letter are we on?
It's a Kodak moment.
Figure 10, paint job 10, Articulation 10, and video 10 as always. Thanks Dan!
I wonder how Donny would slip back his staff?? I mean, that action requires me to see the inserts to slip my actual staff on my back but how would Donatello do this??
Oh man they are finally out I can't wait to get one
Interesting how they went with TCRI from the comics instead of TGRI from the movies.
In the 1990 ninja turtle movie the actor made a mistake the mistake he made was when Donnie was open his whole mouth you see the actor
So glad I preordered him at the start of the year, this line looks amazing.
I hope at some point we see them in 7in scale as well.
Can't wait to get to get Mikey and Donny and make them to dance the song "Tequila Song by The Champs"???In case you forgot or did not know the songs name from early in the first TMNT movie. One of the best scenes in the movie 3rd after the Wheel Of Fortune Dude and the best scene where Raph and Leo are turtle bowling ball on the roof top.
Great review. Glad to see the final product resembles the prototype. NECA has delivered an amazing figure worth the money. Cannot wait to get mine in the mail!
Wow! these figures look amazing I have been waiting years for a company to recreate the turtles from the first movie that look this good. Can't wait to see how Raphael looks...
Hi dan great figure but neca do need tidy up paint work at factory as i have had few figures were paint been stuck to window box .they great toy line but need sort this issue .as you would not want buy tin of paint only for one patch on your wall to be diffrent colour col
Compared to other companies that put out this size and detail of figure, $100 is actually super reasonable. If I had the room for them, I definitely would be picking up each figure in this line. I'll hold out hope for a scaled down version one day, but won't hold my breath.
Wonder if we'll get a 1990 movie version shredder? That would be radical
a_knight who_says_nee
They announced they are making a shredder and a foot soldier in 1/4 scale!
$100 is a great deal for something like this. I have the 1/4 scale Batman's, Keaton and both Arkham versions and I'll take those for $100 over Hot Toys any day.
Thank you for the review, I have preordered it back in february, as soon as as I saw it, now i'm patiently waiting for it to be available
It's about time these came out.
The only 2 small issues I have with this NECA line is that Donny doesn't have a soft shell and a slit opening for the human eyes to peek out like in the movie.
Damn, that's the coolest 1/4 scale NECA figure I've seen. I really hope they make a smaller version (crossing my fingers...and toes).
Heads up about this figure. Had mine on display only for the past 3-4 weeks (or more) and today I woke to find out that his staff had split in half at the bottom. Pegs still attached, no stress marks, but needing to be re-glued. Not sure if this is just a defect in mine, or will happen to others, but something to watch out for.
They didn't show the canister in the 1st movie from my knowledge and in the 2nd movie they called it TGRI so why the change?
JasonRelaxation it was in the beginning also not sure why, it might have been to avoid copyright issues from marvel
they showed the cracked canister when they're telling April about their origins
As Graham mentioned, they actually do show the exact container in the film when Splinter is telling the story of their origins to April. As for TGRI...in the original comics, it was TCRI. The "C" stood for cosmic. When they did the Secret of the Ooze, they eliminated the Utroms, so they removed the cosmic aspect of the name and changed the "C" to "G", which stood for Global. They NEVER showed the TCRI logo in the first movie though. But because the first movie draws it's inspiration from the original comics, my guess is NECA decided to put that on instead of the TGRI logo.
Graham Goldman that was in the 2nd movie which I stated
JasonRelaxation no it was also how the first one started, but they retold it in the secret of the ooze
I can only imagine how much bigger The Shredder/Super Shredders would look like???
oh man what a great TMNT figure and those are my favorite version of the turtles, NECA knocked this one out of the park, i hope they do a 6 or atleast a 7 inch version, great review Dan =) happy holidays to u and your family
I'd like to see them make a Dolph Lundgren He Man figure like this
Well that would just be amazing!
That's one of the greatest ideas i've heard.
YES, amazing idea!
I just got all four and shredder! These are really amazing!
Great review! Amazing sculpture. So real, it is like a time travel and I had 10 years old again. Love the Turtles! Movies, the original cartoon, the toy line... My childhood... So many good memories. :)
Dude so amazing NECA at it again ! How cool would it be if NECA worked with PlayMates to do a run of some of the vintage mutants in the 7in scale but hyper paint deco and extra articulation . I've seen ( and I'm sure you've seen ) some really cool repaints of the original line that some people have done . Turtles Forever !
Awesome looking figure. They saw the canister that held the ooze in the second movie, and I believe in the movie it was TGRI not TCRI. Correct me if I'm wrong. Can't wait to see a Raph figure.
jrhead1981 no, you're right. From what I've seen, TCRI is just seen more in the TMNT Universe. Then again, TGRI was in TMNT 2. In TMNT 1, we just saw one side of it. For all we know, it said TCRI on the other side. But then again, if that's the case, why change it?
great review Dan. unfortunately can't get him in the UK but I always use your watch your reviews before I buy a figure. he looks great.
Nice review, Pixel Dan. Can't wait to get the entire line of these. Thanks for the upload, peace.
Man, I'm in love with this figure. I'm also a fanboy just like you, unfortunately it's too big to have the four of then rs. Congrats for your videos.
Seriously looks great. I think I'm tapped out for the month, but definitely will consider these in the future.
I'd say this is one of the coolest toys neca has ever produced and yet they won't sell it in the UK. The crap we get stuck with is the arcade Batman and an Alien that is painted as the Joker!
Yea, baby!!!! I have been waiting for this one!!! You say "puppet suits" but we all know they were real. I've been collecting figures all my life and can easily say this is the best action figure I have ever seen!!!!
Great review Dan!! Bdw, I like your shirt. Where did u get it?
Cool shirt Dan! Where did you bought it??
i missed the preorder on this guy but i got the raph. ill have to come back and get my donny!
and the price on this was wayyyy less then i expected. I thought 200 was going to be starting on a fig like this. just amazing! you also are the man dan! keep it up
I just got this too. Love it very much and I've been dreaming that someday a toy maker will make one movie accurate turtles and I'm totally going to buy it. BTW, turtles fan here too and great review as always, Dan.
Awesome figure!!! Wish I could get one. Can't wait to see your other 3 turtle reviews Dan! Ps im a huge fan of you your the best reviewer ever in my opinion
Great review! Cannot wait to get this guy
Im def getn these...these are amazing and i dont collect 1/4 figures.
Looks great, cannot wait to get mine. I do not like olives either:)
estupenda figura
A long time ago here in Australia, in the 90's, I saw a 5foot blow up Ninja Turtle available as an additional option for a 'Show Bag' at the Sydney Easter Show, a Show Bag is like a collection of toys/lollies/things aimed at kids for them to take back from the Easter Show, there are hundreds of them. Does anybody read this know about any big blow up TMNT figures? Now I'm an adult with money I've got intense nostalgia desire for one.
Is there any part of this figure that's hollow? It just doesn't look like it would feel like a beefy action figure
can't wait to see the Raph review too :)
Mine has the exact same smudge on the left shoulder!
Very nice video as always. Not my kind of toy, but I have to admit that no one makes movie accurare action figures like Neca does. And the 1990 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie was awesome!
***** I know Hot toys and similar products. But I think their level of detail is due for such high prices. And even though the level of detail is always astonishing, quality in the sculpture is not always as good.
hmm... didnt they called the company TGRI instead of TCRI or i remmeber wrong
Originally, of issue # 4 of the comics that was published in 1984, it was TCRI which stood for "Techno Cosmic Research Institute" and of the Secret of the Ooze movie sequel that was released in 1991, it was changed to TGRI which stood for "Techno Global Research Industries".
Are these out already or did you get an early release ? I need this before Christmas
Is the bandana removable? I'd like to see how it looks without it.
Completely off topic from this video but do you possibly know when those motu classics come out to us. I really excited to have a ram man finally.
I have the Michael Keaton 89 Batman 1/4 scale figure and it's the only figure I got.
I have that one too, as well as Dutch from Predator. Don here is my 3rd 1/4 scale, and instantly my favorite. Excited for the other 3!
Pixel Dan I saw that Catwoman is coming in 1/4 scale which is Awesome.
I have Dutch, Christopher Reeve Superman and Big Red Predator. I preordered Donny and it keeps getting pushed back...but I went ahead and preordered Raph too. Can't wait to have all four. I really Hope we get a Shredder.
Great review, Dan. Where did you get that shirt?
Great review, informative and fun. I really love your channel. Thanks a lot!!!
Pixel Dan you said big bad toy store got them in stock now
Where did you get that t-shirt? Looks awesome!
How can you tell if these figures are first release
Great Review. Can't wait till mine gets here.
The belt is a little bit too high, but besides that it looks very very nice.
Donnie is very cute character and I love the action figure it's awesome. 😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀
Dan great video! i have to ask you...where did you get that turtles t shirt. i want to get one myself!!!! man that figure is amazing.
Do you know the reason why they won't make smaller versions? Really bums me out. A hundo is a huno bucks you know what I mean. To bad Kotobukiya couldn't do a small line like this.
It looks just like it in the movie but mini versions
Without a doubt the best figures for the TMNT out there.
Awesome! Nice break down of the figure.. Looks awesome but theres no way i can buy all 4.. Theyre huge! Maybe Raphael when he comes out to put on my shelf but it would be nice if they made the 6in figures instead of playmates being punks with the rights and making ugly versions of the animated series..That was the best movie and they swept it under the rug because of it being too violent i guess? All i know is i started saying "DAAAAMN!" a lot after seeing it when i was a kid..
This will be my first 1/4 scale figure and I'm looking into picking up the entire set. Anyone have any good ideas for display cases for figures like these? Obviously, they'll take up a lot of space but I didn't know if they make giant cases for 3-4 figures together. Thanks in advance!
Also, long time viewer and first time commentator Dan. Love the reviews and can't wait to get this!
A piece of art !
Where are the other turtles at?
Why do I love that thumbnail?
COWABUNGA.. Dan ur the best. these figures rock.
Just like to point something out,the canister of ooze never appeared in the first movie "which is what this figure is from" and in the movie the company associated with the ooze was TGRI not TCRI.But hey...Everyone's A Critic😉
Lukes_ Toxic Actually it did appear in the flashback scene. And it is TCRI. The 2nd movie screwed up.
OMG! I need this! Great review!
only small problem I can think of is that face is to serious he ends up looking a lot more like raph did than Donnie
That was a fantastic review, thank you so much. I was wondering if they were worth getting, I have no doubts now.
Does it have rubbery skin?
Shouldn't the canister of ooze say TGRI like it was in the film
As I correctly recall of issue #4 of the comics that was first published by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird in 1985 and of the 2-part episode "The Search for Splinter" of the 2003 animated series that was infact based on that issue, it was TCRI which stood for "Techno Cosmic Research Institute" and the ooze that mutated the Turtles, Splinter and Leatherhead was made by an alien when the 1991 second live-action movie went into production, the story was changed some and it was TGRI which stood for "Techno Global Research Industries" and the ooze that mutated the Turtles, Splinter, Tokka and Rahzar was made by human scientists.
There are two more toppings the pizza slice accessory lacks, pepperoni and mushrooms.
the weird texture of the skin doesn't fit in with the movie suits.. they didn't have scales
Hello, is there someone who can tell me how I can buy it from France ?! I searched a lot on google but it's almost impossible !!! the prices are so expensive !! what is the best site ?? I really need this Donatello, and the other turtles when they'll come out ! please help me !!
Fantastic, but 1/4 scale? no thanks...sure hope there's a scale down in the works, doubt it though.
L.A. November 2019 It would be nice to have these in 6 inch scale.
L.A. November 2019 neca can't do it =( playmates holds the rights to the 6" line
MY 2 CENTS Not true since they released the foot clan 6 inch figure set and the arcade ones also.
I would've preferred having the figures made in a 12 inch scale instead so they don't take up so much shelf space.
I just want this but in scale with their predator and alien figures.
Yo Dan, can you also do a review on the Mondo Turtles & Madballs when they finally ship soon? That'd be cool dude!
is there any problems with the figure?
Did you watch yet? ;-) Only issues I have with mine are minor paint splotches on his left shoulder and right cheek. Otherwise I have no issues. He's great.
Pixel Dan well at 4:56 his back.....looks weird
Pixel Dan actually 1/4 scale figures should be 18-19 inches tall so if this figure is only just above 16 it's not worth wasting your money
I want Secret of the Ooze Super Shredder!!!
i been waiting hellas for this
Nice I like it it is cool from 1990
Major paint rub on his cheek. Dang neca, look it over before you send pixel his figure.
I wish his bandana was kept as dark on the 7 inch figures 😕
He is so big he is going to have to start paying some rent.
Now if NECA only scales it down to 1/12 scale then it'll be WAY BETTER!!!!!!!
Probably not as detailed as these though
2 ups, right Pixel Dan?
Y does thes this make me think that the Ozze is big?
5:22 Ya Right ahahahah
did u know they are bringing the other ninja turtles out.
No 1/4 Deadpool?
Still think the cloth on the bandana is too wide.
When the people who worked for Jim Henson's Creature Shop made the costumes for the first two live action movies, they did infact made the tied ends of the Turtles' masks wide. Believe me, I know of this.
wow
