One of the extra set of turtle hands makes it very easy to have Raphael hold the sais in his signature style. I forget which ones cause I don't have them in front of me, but I know I did it without issue and he held them well and it looked good
Looking forward to my set showing up! I love that they still used the video game sculpts, because Turtles in Time had a color option that looked a lot like these colors, so even though I missed the video game set, this still feels like the game figures, to me!
This set is the best set of tmnt figures ever made. The best tmnt figures ever made is the Neca 1/4 scale.
They put so much thought into these figures. I love it. That's what TMNT diehards look for

Finally!! Dan, i swear youre the only one who actually realized that NECA’s turtles are based on the 80’s cartoons while the SH figures are based on the TMNT marketing/license design! Im glad someone finally mentionned it, because i keep hearing people say that the SH turtles are more accurate to the 80’s cartoons, which is completely false, they are accurate to the marketing design, while NECA actually nailed the 80’s cartoons look perfectly! And thats one of the many reasons why youre my favorite toy reviewer, you know what youre talking about! :)
I got mine yesterday, and I absolutely LOVE them! I wish I had gotten two sets.

Over the last few years, NECA has become my favorite current toy company. I just love their stuff so much, and their attention to detail is amazing. That being said, I wish I could have gotten my hands on these, LOL.
Pixel Dan, I have to let you know that you have the best lighting and clearest/cleanest review station!
NECA always made the best TMNT toys. The best figures being the 1:4 scale 1990 movie figures.
So cool that NECA keeps giving the '80s/'90s TMNT show so much love; great job showing these off & cool comparisons too! Love this set; especially those toon accurate Foot Soldiers, but somehow not as exciting as their arcade game version. Still, might bite when this hits eBay via those awesome Chinese vendors.

Great review! This set is a love letter to TMNT fans. The paint deco on these guys are BEAUTIFUL! I was blessed to be able to pick up this set and it is AMAZING! For me, it helps to make up for the fact that I had to sell my original first 20 black and white TMNT comics from the 80s along with the mini-series and graphic novels. OK, that still stings a little but this set is AWESOME! Thanks Dan!
I believe Randy on Twitter did verify that the cover artwork was done by an artist that worked on Archie comics.
Not sure if anyone mentioned this but we could take the spinning nunchuck effect from the video game set with the one that comes from this set and get the double spinning chuks look going...great review!
"They have the darker skin tone in that show". Well, yes and no. Their skin complexions were never completely consistent throughout the show's run. Depending on who was painting the animation cels, sometimes their complexions would be emerald, others hunter or forest, others in sunflower seed(?), and in the color shown in those figures.
Love these figures. Excellent review. You have a great personality my brother which makes it a ease and joy to watch.

I hope NECA releases the figure separately in the future. Would love to get another Ralph. Hopefully we can get some sort of licensing agreement or something.

-- ummmm, the First Gokin Cerebral w/android body. That WAS the 80's cartoon Krang. Stylized to some degree, but still the original Krang.
Mark Curtis I love that toy it's so accurate only thing though the ankle joints give out eventually or at least mine has because of the weight of the figure.
These figures are soooo AMAZING!!! Hope to be able to afford them one day 😂

Love that they have a more realistic 80s cartoon Shredder as well as the robot Foot clan members. And Krang pre made robotic body from the first season. Looking at the Shredder, I can hear James Avery (as the Shredder) yelling at Bebop and Rocksteady... Calling them morons 😂😂😂. R.I.P James Avery. 😢

Yesterday I found this set in a local store selling for 300$, should I get it and pay the extra 100$ or its not worth it?? Need urgent advice guys

Awesome figures!! Neca did such a great job. I just wish they were allowed to use the old turtles logo.
you can also use the come a part staff like shredder snapped his stick
great set, but lame they didn't use the classic logo on the box.
They didn't even use the Mirage logo for the Mirage Shredder and Foot pack
all of the black highlights make these Turtles look more like they were lifted from a comic book rather than the 80's cartoon still though it's hard to not like this box set especially for all you get in it.

Actually, the grappling hook ended up replacing his nunchuks because they were deemed "too violent."
weird SAL I love that FCC logic back in the day, but swords and sai were okay lol gotta love it!
Brit bongs sure love their dumb censorship and bans. The chuks were the best part of Mikey in the cartoon, as soon as they replaced them with the grappling hook he became the most boring turtle to see in action.

Would have been awesome if the art on the box set was from the Ninja Turtles cereal box.
Worst thing is that there is no way to get these without spending insane amounts on eBay... shame really. NECA should make at least individuality carded figures from this set in unlimited numbers. Surely sales for these would skyrocket. This way is just like watching somebody review a Ferrari. Meaning, most of us have really slim chances of getting them. :/
And yes, I understand playmates has most of the licensing. they will never go this far when it comes to collector market...

16:53 They ruined the cartoon Shredder figure by recycling the forearms. Those black bandages are totally inaccurate. And Shredder armor has blades, not spikes.
Great review. I really like your videos, especially anything having to do with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. These look awesome, and I can't wait to get mine shipped to me. I wont be at Comic Con, but I was lucky enough to buy them from the pre-order sale.
So what is the scale for the turtles ? I know that neca tends to do 7 inch scale figures

Are these the same as the latest NECA wave 1 tmnt released recently?
It's crazy how Neca actually releases these at a fair price. It's $200 in total, so it's basically paying $25 a figure plus accessories. That's basically the same price ratio that the crappy Playmates figures cost, and they're nowhere near this level of quality. They did the same thing with the Arcade Turtles, $100 for either the Turtles or Foot set. It was also $100 for the Comic Foot Clan set.
Best TMNT figures ever! So amazing! I love how silly the foot soldiers look, and that Krang is great! The Shredder is so good, and we waited a long time for him. I was lucky enough to preorder a set, can't wait! Great review🐢🍕🤘🏻

very excited for my set, I would love it if Neca could do a 4 horseman level recreation of all the vintage TMNT toy characters but with modern articulation, sadly that is just a sewer pipe dream.

This is a great set. I don't collect Turtlesbut i loved the cartoon when i was a kid. I bought the Classic Turtles years ago. I was disappointed that Bebop and Rocksteady were out of scale. Here's hoping that Shredder will be in a nicer scale...if it ever comes out.

I could be wrong but I was fairly certain one set of hands was specifically for ralph to hold his sai between his fingers. (i think, couldnt see well enough but it was the last set of hands you had but you went to the thumbs up hand and then the pizza lol). Also, amazing set. My only complaints (w/o owning them yet) would be ankle wishing for better ankle articulation and would have loved a set (at least one) of fist hands but overall super excited for these.

Damn Comic con exclusives! alot of us live vicariously when it comes to Comic con's and if we did manage to get there it'll probably still cost about 300, only chance we've got to own this brilliance is paying about a grand on eBay. Sucks to be a fan sometimes it really does, THANKS NECA!
