    Hi! Loved your video it is super helpful! You mentioned monetizing and I am wondering at how many views or engagement can I monetize? Also do I need a blog? Or can I just create content on Pinterest?

    • @AustenTosone
      @AustenTosone  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! So it will depend on how you're planning to monetize. If you're looking to land brand deals on Pinterest it's probably good to have a few thousand followers first and high monthly views. I think it's really smart to have a blog and I have a few videos about growing a blog you can check out. You can also create content on Pinterest that drives traffic back to a blog which is a win win.

    Hi Austen, great video as always! I'm a huge of Pinterest, it has helped me so much to grow my blog, especially at the beginning! I also was in the panel of Italian beta testers for idea pins, but we don't have any chance to monetize them so far, we can't insert tags nor links. I'm really happy about the future changes, my Pinterest has grown really big (almost 60'000 followers and 10+ mln. monthly views), so I hope I can monetize Pinterest too in the future. Do you receive collaboration requests that include Pinterest, too? I only had one so far, they wanted a dedicated video, an IG story as well as 10 pins (created by me) that linked directly to their website. Do you think this will grow too? Have a great day!

      Hi! Thank you so much for watching, I'm so glad you liked the video! I hope Italy adds the product stickers soon too. I definitely hope brands will include Pinterest in their campaigns too! After 12 years on Pinterest I just did my first collaboration for Pinterest in the 2021 holiday season. I think creators can also start pitching Pinterest as an add-on to other campaigns. If a brand wants to hire you for an Instagram campaign you could offer to share the content to Pinterest too and raise your rate! Will definitely keep everyone posted here or on Instagram if I see more Pinterest campaigns in 2022.

      @@AustenTosone Thank you for your answer, I hope so too! As for offering Pinterest as an add-on, I have the impression that many European companies underestimate the power of Pinterest, even most Italian bloggers don't use Pinterest as a tool to generate traffic, underestimating its power.

    Hi, I got a question. Does everything you post have to be original content, or can you use videos people have already made and add some of your own original videos into the mix?

    • @AustenTosone
      @AustenTosone  ปีที่แล้ว

      I highly recommend creating all original content! You can "repin" content from other accounts that is not yours but if you're uploading it on your page, it should be content you've created.

    I'm clearly doing something wrong with Idea pins because my Idea pins get no likes and no saves.

    • @AustenTosone
      @AustenTosone  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yeah, there are so many factors that could contribute to that so without seeing the account, I don't have any specific advice to offer. I should mention I've been posting idea pins consistently (at least 2x a week) since I got access to them about a year ago. It has definitely gotten more competitive with idea pins now that everyone has access to them but I think a few things are important in terms of the makeup of idea pins. Is it clear what the pin is about from the cover image? If it has more than one page is there a reason for a viewer to want to click through? Does the pin encourage viewer engagement? If someone clicks over to your profile do they see other idea pins on similar content that would give them a reason to follow? But I think above all else creating consistent, quality content is the best way to get started. I'd check out my other video about creating idea pins that I linked in the description for more details on that. I hope that helps a bit!

    Hey, thanks for this video but how much idea pins do you think is ideal per week?

    • @AustenTosone
      @AustenTosone  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! Currently I still schedule 1 static pin per day and publish Idea Pins whenever I can. I try to aim for at least 2-3 per week but I would love if they would enable idea pin scheduling on Later, which is what I use to schedule content. I think as many as you can will only help you, but at least a few times a week to start is great. Hope that helps!

    can i promote different niches product on same pinterest account? I mean is it okay to do so or I should make different account for different niche on pinterest

    • @AustenTosone
      @AustenTosone  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's a good question! I find that on Pinterest I can have different niches because I can create different boards for them. It's much easier to segment on Pinterest than on on a platform like Instagram or TikTok. My advice with any platform is to think about it like an hourglass. First you start out broad posting everything you're interested in. Once you see what sticks, you zoom in on that (niche down) to grow. Then once you've grown people are naturally curious about related topics and you can start posting more broadly again. Hope this helps!

    Is there a strategy of how many idea pins per day? AND.... if you do post multiple.. how long to space them apart? ** I'm repurposing IG content that's really done well and using that as a base for idea pins plus I'll be creating new content. Would love your thoughts.

    • @AustenTosone
      @AustenTosone  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I generally do one idea pin a day whenever I have content to post! Until there's an option to schedule them, I haven't been super consistent and am not putting that pressure on myself right now. Hope that helps!

    Do idea pins take away from your standard pins being promoted?

    • @AustenTosone
      @AustenTosone  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Promoted by the algorithm? The algorithm is already prioritizing idea pins so I don’t think it would hurt to lean into creating them.

    I have 100+ Followers on Pinterest but I have not made anything yet. if I start making pins is it ok to pin others people's pins still? or do I have to start a new Pinterest?

    • @AustenTosone
      @AustenTosone  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't think there's any need to start a brand new account! You can re-pin other people's pins but creating your own original content will definitely be best for overall growth and future monetization.
