Thank you for showing us how to use the wax. My hands were covered in wax, and after watching this, I'm excited to see what I can make! Thank you so very much :3
If I were to make a similar (smaller) wound effect right on top of my eyebrow, would you recommend using a glue stick to protect the hairs of my eyebrow? I'm trying to make it appear as though I got into a fight...
No, never use a glue Stick, because it is not made for this. It is better to use a scar wax to block you eyebrowns and for saving your eyebrows. Glue sticks are made for gluing paper together.
@@SchminkenGrime TYVM! I never knew that could be used for brows also. I'm new to this as my friend has a small Ben Nye kit for her school. We both play w/ the makeup from time to time when she's not using it for class projects!
Thank you so much for this! I was struggling with creating smooth scars and after watching this I’ve realised I was missing the vaseline 😅😅 that is certainly going to make life so much easier!
Yes you can definately. It would not be bad. But maybe you want to look at On Skin Silicone like sculpt gel. This will stay on the skin longer than wax
No i am afraid not. Ben Nye has 4 schades of wax. Bone, fair, light brown and brown. But you can go over them with color to get it to your skintone. I usualy use alcohol activated makeup for this.
What kind of glue did you use? And what is the name of palette did you use? And I absolutely love your eyes and I am definitely going to buy nose and scar wax and more I lovee making all kinds of effects like this 💙💙
I always use pros-aide as glue and the encore palettes for alcohol activated makeup. I think you van find a link to the products in the discription box. Thank you for watching the video. And enjoy the wax when you get it. It is one of my favorite products 🥰
@@shaymary5247 i don't like to use latex as a glue for wax. The wax itself is sticky but it is easier to work with once glued down with some prosaide or spirit gum..
I don't know exactly what you mean. The brush never gets affected by the wax. Does your wax get on your brush? Maybe the hair of the brush are to hard or you puch to hard? The paint is to thick of not wet enough?

I am happy i could help! Have fun with the wax 😘
Amazing! I’ve been struggling using this wax but this video helped a lot !
😍 thank you so much !
This was very helpful - I struggle with wax so much so will deffo try the pros side and baseline tips thank you!
I am happy to help. Have fun trying them out.
Great job. For a minute there I was like whoa
Thank you 😘
Ooohhh I was putting the scar wax on before the adhesive dried thanks for the tips!
would liquid latex be okay to use to stick the scar down as an alternative glue? as I use that for some special fx looks.
This doesn't have much to do with the video but, your eyes are so pretty!
That is so sweet of you. Thank you 😘

Mam is this product helpful for acne deep scars... please reply...
Please, help me!
Can i use it to hide a scar? Could I apply it every day or would it be bad?
Yes you can definately. It would not be bad. But maybe you want to look at On Skin Silicone like sculpt gel. This will stay on the skin longer than wax
Did you try it?
So Kool hope I know where to buy the scare wax.
Can you use scar was, without vasaline or spirt gum. Just the wax by itself, then blood on top? 1:39
You can try. Sure
Question: is it like consealer where you pick the color?
No i am afraid not. Ben Nye has 4 schades of wax. Bone, fair, light brown and brown. But you can go over them with color to get it to your skintone. I usualy use alcohol activated makeup for this.
Me gustaría saber si estas ceras se curan o con cualquier golpe se aplastan y pierden la forma. Gracias.
I love the term "wonderful wounds" LOL. Thanks for the helpful video!
Hihihi, thank you for watching 🥰
Do you have to coat the "wound" with the red first or can you just use the blood?
You could just use blood but it would not look as good when the blood runs out of the wound.
How to you seal thebslin so it's not sticky?
Also can you use this wax to rebuild the nose?
I always use setting powder to get rid of the stickeyness. And yes! You can rebuild a nose with wax.
Is there a way to harden the wax?
Cause I dread a surgical mask destroying it when I can do Gothams Oswald Cobblepot
Apologies if this has been asked, but what kind of glue would you need? Thank you so much for your time!
I use pros-aide but you can also use spirit gum.
Many thanks, very useful and well described 👍
Could you use latex for the first step cuz it’s an applicator? I’m new to the and want some spoopy Halloween makeup
Can I seal the wax over top with the same glue?
Yes you can buy you don't need to.
Did you put vaseline on the spatula when making the cut?
Yes. But just a little bit. Make sure to powder it when you are done
Can u use it around ur eyes?
Yes you can. Wax is very gentle for the eye area.
@@SchminkenGrime thank u :) 💖
Is it good for making sfx burn tattoos?
Can you keep reusing this or only a one time apply?
You could. But after coloring and adding blood i don't think you want to reuse it.

SchminkenGrime thank you so much can’t wait for it to come in definitely ordered the glue n palette 😁😁
Cant i just use latex instead of the glue?❤
Your eyes are so beautiful
I have been doing sfx for six years and I decided now to try and learn how to use scar wax 💀 thank god a good video exists because I HATE scar wax
Hihihi, i love wax. But i know what you mean 🤣. It can be a bit uhm....stubborn 😅
Does it dry hard?
Could I use spirit gum instead of glue
Definately yes!
Are you using paints that are water activated or alcohol activated?
Alcohol Activated makeup
Can u also use liquid latex to apply the wax? En dankjewel for deze video! Het heeft me heel erg geholpen 😊 en nog een vraag: hoe haal je de wax weg?
invgl I mean you can but it’s better to use spirit gum by Ben nye :)
Lizbeth 𝐎𝐤𝐚𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐬! :𝐃
I would use spirit gum or proa-aide. And removing the wax is easy to do. Just use the spatula again.
in the beginning is it like Elmer's glue or
latex?
It is a flexibel skin adhesive. Not like latex. I dont know elmer's glue so i can't tell you this. You can use spirit gum as well.
@@SchminkenGrime The scar wax? Being the skin adhesive?? *Why not like latex?
@@shaymary5247 i don't like to use latex as a glue for wax. The wax itself is sticky but it is easier to work with once glued down with some prosaide or spirit gum..
@@SchminkenGrime ok, I see now! TY!!
I’m really hoping your still reading comments... so is spirit gum adhesive also good instead of prosade?
Yes but is not flexibele. That is why i prefer pros-aide
If I wear this in 90 degree weather outside.. will it melt off?
No it will not melt off. But it will be realy soft.... not ideal
Can I use wax to cover scars?
Yes. But the wax stays soft. Maybe better to use sculpt gel (on skin silicone).
Did you try using to cover scars?
This is great as I was not sure how to use my homemade wax
Is pros aide like liquid latex or spirit gum?
It is a flexibel glue. So of you would want to use something different you could use spirit gum. But that is not as flexibel as this one.
SchminkenGrime thank you very much for your reply 😊
Could u use lash glue for the first step?
It is possible, but not the best solution
Great video! Thanks
Does this wax come in different tones ?
Yes. There is bone, fair, light brown and brown.
Great tip. Thanks
Thanx 😘
you look so familiar to me
so cool 😄
Is it ok if i use school glue?
I would not use it.
Very nice and origenal
Thank you!
What glue do you recommend for the scar wax?
I always use pros-aide as glue.
SchminkenGrime thank you!
What kind of glue did you use?
Spirit gum
How did you get the brush to not be affected by the wax?
