It is a little bit odd-looking at first glance for a DMA to receive an e-mail, asking if they have any issues and would like to resolve them with you but I guess it's a proven and working tactic or did I misunderstand that part? As for your first method, essentially offering webhosting services is simply not enough, one should also be capable of website developments so you can simply say "I can create/improve a website for you and so it happens, I also have the means of hosting it for you."
100%. It is SO much easier to get a client if you’re able to build a website for them as well. I’d say when I first started, 90% of my clients were found this way. As for the Marketing Agency, this is harder. I absolutely target smaller agencies that don’t have the capacity to host as well/simply don’t want to.
@@BryceMatheson That is understandable, yet what eludes my mind, is how you are able to determine a small MA from a well developed one. Either a social engineering via conversation is done or some sort of a research on the company via sub structures like a database on registered companies? (Unsure how to phrase it correctly here)
Great video, I just came here to say I use Squarespace to build other peoples website but I am struggling to find clients in this video was helpful. Is it okay if you can reply to this about any other websites I should be using to create websites
Hey man, love the videos! I don't know if my not being in the US has anything to do with it but whenever I try to click on your site links I get "This site can’t provide a secure connection"
QUESTION; 1- How do you design a website for a client who's website your already hosting ? 2- How you convince a client that creating and hosting their web is better than them just creating a website on their own?
1. Easy! If you’re already hosting it for them, just create a temporary site on your server and do the redesign from there. Then, once it’s ready, take it live. 2. Most people don’t know how to create a website properly. There are a lot of different services out there like Wix and SquareSpace, but that doesn’t mean it’s done *right*.
I second what Bryce said here. If you ask a question "How to setup own server" that means you have very little to no knowledge in IT environment. Ask yourself a question: What happens if, for example, client's website is not resolving. Or What do I do to let a client use SFTP? When you are hosting your business on your own server, you are to expect to have a bigger understanding of how your server works and you are also burdened with way more things you need a proper knowledge at. I personally went to use my own server since I don't want to be dependent on an outsource. Even then, I had to make things like proper backup schemes, setup a VM environment with Hypervisor and backup not only websites but whole VM via Delta/Full Backup with rets on daily and weekly basis. Set up networking, order a small subnet with public IPs (Had to fight ISP a couple of times since those didn't configure properly IPs on their end and it end up being with MAC ties to VMs, was quite a pain). Then you need to install things like WHM, WHMCS. Configure it all too. There's just so much to do when you try to 'make it run'. Rest, of course, requires little of your time. Just ensure your backups are running, do updates now and then and so forth. But if you did not understand anything from what I just wrote - no, you're simply not ready to run business on your own server.
Thanks for the info. I just stumbled across your page a few days ago and am now considering web hosting. I guess my main question now is, are you able to show us how to design a website for a client or maybe a template just as an example? Thanks in advance.
There's no 'standard' answer to this question, simply because there are many ways of creating a website for a client. It all comes down to what a client wants specifically. Because you can either go and manually write it/code it or use an engine like wordpress and slap a design that either comes from a plugin like Elementor or is also manually written by a web designer/programmer. Most common 'chain' would be a wordpress + some fancy design/theme.
Hi Bryce. I don't mean to be disrespectful but how on earth are you making thousands of dollars each month from web hosting from only 80+ clients???!!! 😂 I am asking because my math contradicts your numbers mate. So, I have a web hosting company too, for 6 years and I barely got 66 clients for web hosting with me and so as we both know in web hosting there are some practical and standardized price ranges you can charge your clients, no matter where you run your business, UK, USA or Antarctica! so the general price per month per hosting plan would be somewhere around $10 per month, the cheapest! and so how are you making thousands from 80 clients? cause I don't get it. Also, before you say it, I can assure you that even if you have convinced some clients to purchase other more expensive hosting plans like VPSs or dedicated hosting that still don't add up to your thousands per month, however, I don't believe you have more than few VPS hosting plans sold with the number of clients you say you have so, could you enlighten us all how you are making thousands each month from your hosting company with only 80 clients? unless you sell other services like SEO 😄or god know what?. By the way, I've searched for you online everywhere and I don't see you have a hosting company website at all? also, you have not shown us here your hosting website, hm, I wonder why.

Hey thank you for all these life changing talk that actually works.
Thank you, man,
You opened my eyes to a lot of ideas.
Thank you so much, buddy.

@@tenebrestelrei8687 Neither. I simply tried all of them. Some wanted to partner with me and most did not.
I really like the idea of pitching to digital marketing agencies. 👍
Hi, I am a web designer and I wonder if your course teaches how to run a web design business and web hosting business
Yes. That’s exactly what it teaches.

Hey Bruce! I'm still confused about somethings. Is it possible to come in contact with you? Discord or anything. With all respect.

can you make a video about how to make own server
No, because I definitely don't recommend doing it that way. It's much better to outsource it to someone who knows what they're doing.

I was so excited to buy the full course until I saw the price. 300 dollars for a material that you can find for free is insane. Shame on you.

1000s per month just from 80 plus clients 🤔
Average hosting fee is $75/mo. You do the math.
