Is every one forgetting that we were 1 point out of a playoff spot due to another team losing? What more do you want them to do right now? We need to give our prospects playing time. We can’t do that if we pick up 5 expensive FAs. Plus they have to save money for Mo and Raymond.
Some ppl will just never be happy
I hate the part of this fanbase that thinks hockey prospects reach their potential within 2 years. I hate the part of this fanbase that thinks 4 years into a rebuild is the time to hit the panic button. I essentially hate the myopic part of this fanbase. The 20 iq side of this fanbase. Guess what smooth brains, there's nothing you can do about anything in terms of managing this team. Steve Yzerman is going to be here until he retires and there's absolutely nothing you can do about it barring he turns into Ken Holland, but as of now, he is the exact opposite of Ken Holland, so buckle up and accept this is going to take patience. I think Steve emphasized that a million times already. Doesnt surprised me unintelligent people need to be reminded every other week though.
He'll be the first one to tell you he isnt perfect and he has made a mistake or two. But his triumphs outweigh the losses tenfold.
2 things that Steve has reiterated time and time again since his first presser here:
I’m not perfect, I’m gonna make some decisions that won’t work out, every GM does
This is going to take a bit of time, just be patient
Two things you want to hear from a GM. I’d rather him say that repeatedly than cover things up and make excuses.

And I hate the part of the fanbase who blindly hail Kane like some sort of god.
Here's the thing; Sprong had almost the exact same icetime as Kane, and almost the same points per minute, except sprong had MUCH better defensive stats.
In fact, just going off takeaways vs giveaways, Patrick Kane had the worst ratio of ALL red wings forwards.
Patrick Kane didn't clutch any shootouts, he went after Raymond, who already scored on both and put us 1 up.
Patrick Kane had a higher ratio of goals on bottom 20% goalies/defense AND teams vs top 50% goalies/defense and teams in the league of any red wing forward.
People always shout about the Chicago OT goal, but seriously, take a step back and watch it again; he stands on the blue line letting CHI get a free three-on-two, gets LUCKY they don't finish and gets the puck for a 1-on-1 and scores. So in short, he didn't give a fuck and nearly cost us the game, scored on a bottom tier goalie and won against the second worst team of the league. What an accomplishment...
The wings were like a .750 when he wasn't around, including when he got injured, and like a .450 with him on the ice.
Make it make sense.
Watch the AZ games again where AHL'ers are just picking his pocket for free and tell me how great he is at holding the puck.
The Patty Kane of old is gone, we're just being blinded by the remarkable light of his career as a whole.
And finally; as a medical professional, I can tell you that him playing last season wasn't a "oh cool, he's fine after surgery", he MIGHT be, but it's not a thing that gets better or settles. Either he remains the same with a risk of complications every time he steps on ice where he may come out of it perfectly fine, or he gets worse.
I have said to people last season that the Wings need an enforcer. Tired of Larkin taking cheap shots from teams with no repercussions. Maybe get McCarty to suit up. lol. Somebody please.
Love the signing. Sad to see Walman go but I trust the process. Hopefully free agency will work out well as well as the new deals for Raymond and Seider.
Very happy we kept Patrick Kane!
Those kids in GR need a chance to play and signing big money FA won’t help long term
The def Yzerman got i dont get. Im still on the train but 1 foot off. This off season doesn't help us, but there is still time
The def?
@mr.brenman2132 guys lol auto correct. But looking at it now, i like some of the moves he made
Salivating on that one Sam!!
If the Wings don't sign some grit or muscle like Bokondji Imama and get McCorarty from Winnipeg we are in trouble
Good player but we will need much more from players already there and new comers especially on defense we lack speed
How is making the playoffs not in Kane's hands?
The new Bruise Brothers
Definitely a WingNut here
Other than Kane than the Talbot pickup this was a disastrous offseason. Barring a trade we are not keeping pace with the playoff teams.
Was? The offseason is far from over haha
A bonus doesnt count against the cap.
@@RedWingsFanClub FA period at least.
Correct sir. Almost everyone got better. Toronto and New Jersey and Boston.

YZERMAN COOKING
Yzerman isn't cooking he's microwaving frozen dinners at this point
@@danb239 we are back
….and, if you ask McCarty, he will say his buddy Stevie KILLED it in free agency! Stamkos stiff-arms him and Trouba blocks the trade. Didn’t Steve and his brain trust have a CLUE about whether they would come or not? We will regress this year and we just lost Perron so we need to find 50 points. I think we miss the playoffs and more heat gets applied to Stevie which is good because I’m tired of the Yzerman fan boys like McCarty who think he does no wrong. Just look at the freakin Walman giveaway where we lost TWO players---the player other GM’s said they would have traded for Walman plus the second round pick we didn’t even need to throw in! Kane is a good signing because we have a shootout specialist and basically a point per game guy. Other than that…..
Careful we aren't allowed to criticize Stevie Y...especially on this channel lol.
Fuck Perron he is slow as shit and takes stupid penalties, where was his leadership when Larkin was injured and they fell apart, he just didn't want to get traded at the deadline
If Ghost doesn’t sign that’s over 100 pts between him and Perron. Gustafsson signed and they may be thinking Berggren to replace Perron but that’s not over 100 pts. Pretty frustrating so far.
The Fatboy always defending SY also
Where are you getting that Trouba blocked a trade here? All I’ve seen is that he’s given his 15 team list to the Rangers. Why are you making up stuff to prove your point? Lol
