I think helping the poor using other person is also Super EGO. In the same situation if he have helped the poor since his child, wife or the society is seeing him is EGO. The perfect example is if he saw 2000 rupees on road, if he took without thinking anything is ID. If he thinks it is not his money and have not taken it, then it is super EGO. Now for EGO he will act favoring the society, he will take it if no one notices him, if some one notices he will not take it.
