Why not? Arahantship is the removal of all defilements from the mind. It is not a state where one is impervious to disease and decay. (Dementia is a disease.).As the Buddha said, all contigent things are subject to change and decay.

@@ongtengkee9225 Dementia is caused by impaired brain function. It affects the mind, but the cause is physical. It is no more a sign that someone's mind is defiled than heart disease.
Why such loathing for the Ajahn? You seem to have some anger and hate in your heart, bro. Read the Metta Sutta. Peace.
