@@whodaFru4551 Russia is a landlocked country meaning it's greatest threaths will come from land, any attempt from sea can be foiled relatively easy with long range missles which is why they invest less in aircraft carriers, another reason is that unlike the US, Russia does not project it's forces all over the world so it has less of a need for aircraft carriers

Russia is the leader in Hypersonic Missiles, with the Zircon & Kinzhal designed to sink Aircraft Carriers. Not to ment the Poseidon, Submarine Nuclear powered Torpedo Drone, which can also sink Aircraft carriers or any other type of large Naval Vessel. The only country needs aircraft carriers is the US, as the US likes to assert dominance far away from home. Simple they do not have the facilities to build a Carrier of any size well other than that model Putin was playing with a number of years ago.. Putin has wanted a real carrier for a long time but they just can't build one as I said no yards can build anything bigger than a Cruiser and they don't have the tech needed to build one if they had the facilities.. Remember they had to have France build those 2 assault carriers that they never got , add to that their Ski Carrier isn't likely to ever leave port again. Then there is the Problem of the SU 57 very few being built and would likely need to be redesigned to be able to launch it with a catapult , well unless they went the Ski Jump method again but with it they can't launch planes with full loads of fuel and weapons . No Russia doesn't have a real Carrier in its future ...

The major problem for russia is that almost all of its seaports are blockaded by nato countries and that threatens their navy highly. In the north the water is too cold and mostly ice which makes naval ship passages almost impossible

Russia does have an aircraft carrier. The Admiral Kuznetsov. Russia does need carriers if they want to operate in the worlds oceans they need to be able to operate in international waters amongst normal sea trade and pirates. The Pirates of HATO are very well armed and air power is useful over land and over sea. It improves situational awareness and reach. The difference of course is that a Russian carrier is not an invasion and colonial power carrier like western carriers. Russian ships carry air defence missiles and land attack missiles, an aircraft carrier for Russia will be an air defence carrier that protects their ships and shipping lanes from external influence.

Its too late. Building a single aircraft carrier could take more than a decade to become operational and a country like russia who is subject to multiple economic sanctions cannot secure all the resources needed to complete an aircraft carrier systems.
