In my day (1986) we walked from Besisahar up the Marsyangdi to Manang, then over the Thorung La, down the Kali Gandaki, to Tatopani, then up to Poon Hill and finally to Pokhara, all on foot, sleeping in tents. Wonderful. It took three weeks!

Thanks for sharing your experience, still the route is same as you described but some parts of trekking trail disappeared due to road construction.

hello and thank u for the video. Two questions, what are the dates of this trek? was it during monsoon season? seconddly, Do u think i can do this trek with a smaller backapack? what is truly essential to bring along which requires large packs?

Hello and Namaste We completed this trek in the first week of October. We had rain up until Manang even though it wasn't monsoon season. You must include enough clothing, medicine, personal belongings, and equipment for the two-week journey, so your bag should weigh at least 8 to 10 kilograms. You should join with other groups and share a guide. For more info: WhatsApp +977 9849095833
      Thanks

Nicely taken videos. However, please discourage the trekkers from kicking rocks off the trail down towards the river and poke your trekking poles on the cliff without reason.

So sad to see a Nepali ruin a vlog by not even starting at the start of the trek. A Jeep? Really? Chame start? Do you have any idea the impact of that? This amazing classic trek deserves some respect. For other viewers...PLEASE do not skip these first few days.
