Please am in Holly Springs, Mississippi and am 65 years old and thinking serious about moving to another country. Was diagnosed with Gastritis a stomach disorder and must eat organic fruit and vegetables. Could you contact me and let me know everything I need to enter into Panama? Like quiet one bedroom house, apartment or studio with everything. Like to live near grocery store and marketplace. Would you contact me please with reasonable rent. Living on widows pension. Could you please tell me is this a English speaking Country?
In the south of France, they put lavender on their window sills to keep the scorpions out, just old dried stocks seem to work. Thanks for all the interesting info about Panama. I'll check out Jackie's page.
Thank you! For this vidéo. I am not a tour guided type of personality. As an artist, this video spoke to my core. I am planning to relocate and Panama is my 1st choice after two years of research. Again, this is a priceless video confirming my findings. Merci! Gracias! Yes! working on line.
Great video, Vaughn. Thanks. I'm 64yo old young, single, no family, and also living off of rental investment, and love mountains and water, and beaches, just don't like humidity. My two springers are everything to me......thinking about Boquete as a relocation from the states. Not sure if I am that adventurous to make the leap, but you are very helpful. Thx.
I would be in heaven where you are staying Vaughn! The organic gardens, chickens, fruit trees ... Thanks for the video! I have a digital remote job, so I could live and work in Boquete. That's the plan.
Vaughn appreciate your interview.. We moved here in Sept,..Living on Volcancito..Always apprepiate the different views..Not a pickel ball scene...but hike the hell out of the area...if you like to hook up let me know...lived and worked all over the world as well...
Vaughn, thanks for a great video! My family and I are visiting for a month in May. Your video was very reassuring about some of things we can expect. We've all been doing Duolingo for a month now but glad to hear we can get by on our limited skills.
Vaughn, great video! Been in Panama since the middle of January in Bocas del Toros. Love the area but I'm finding it's not a long-term area for me. Little bit too touristy and the heat with the humidity is really not the most comfortable. Thanks for your overview on boquete. Was there for I believe 3 days on the tour last August but it was cold and rainy at the time. I like the idea of the expats and getting to know people for more than just a few days while their vacationing so I may be considering bouquete again. Thanks again for your insight and have a great one. 😎
Bradley you look great! I met you on the Pickleball court in Boquete during our stay there last January. Can't wait to get back there and hear some of your stories!!!
Dude, best vid I’ve seen on this site b/c ur so grounded and chill. You’ve inspired me to move up my plans. When I make it there, I’ll find u on the Pickle Ball court! Cheers
Yeah, Panama is A Great Place to Retire especially in the Mountains there in Boquete . Been there twice. 1968 to 1972 as a Teenager, and then Back in 2010. I always remembered Boquete, going there as a Teenager with my Parents and brothers. Boquete will be my place. I think you picked a great Place to retire Vaughn. HOOAH..
Hi Vaughn, My pickleball friend. It was nice to get to know you a bit better through this video. The indoor wildlife is also challenging for me. Strange that I haven't seen a cockroach in my apartment yet; cockroaches and spiders, however... I've been encouraged to get over it. It takes a mental adjustment. I'm here only for the Wisconsin winters. Like you, I find Boquete the perfect escape from the cold.
Thank you so much for this video. I am also watching all of Jackie’s videos, and yours resonates with me a bit more than the others because I am also from a small town in the states. I’m from Missouri. What state are you from? Thanks again.
may I ask where did u live in Philippines, currently here now but loving these Panama Relocation videos and also the VISA options look much better there thanks
This was great! I wonder if Vaughn realizes a sign of getting older is not liking cold winters since he mentioned age and pickleball. Hehehe. Seriously though, more helpful insight.
Hello is the food there organic? A lot of food in America is filled with chemicals, GMO, pesticides and it has caused me to be diagnosed with a stomach disorder. Must eat organic. Fruits and vegetable must be like God intended.
Hello. My family of 4 was considering moving to Panama but have just learned about a lot of changes the government is making. According to the realtor and attorney, to become a resident via the Friendly Nations Visa you must purchase 500K USD of property. Obviously that will make permanently relocating impossible for some now. Also, we were told the travel visa (you mentioned 6 months) is shortening to 3. It is unclear if you are living longer term", meaning a few months or actually permanently relocating there. Might be helpful to specify so those trying to get info, are getting the correct information for their particular circumstances. Thanks!
You got some VERY BAD advice from the real estate person and the lawyer!!!! A tourists can stay in a Panama for 180 days. For the Friendly Nations Visa, you can either 1. buy real estate worth $200,000 or 2. Deposit $200,000 into a 3-year CD at a Panama bank, or 3. get a job in Panama, or 4. Set up a Panama corporation that hires you for about $5,000/
Are expats verbal about US politics or do they leave it at the border? I was turned off after joining a FB page with some of the Volcan expats because of their strong political viewpoints. Looking for less political drama if that is possible.
Some expats left it at the border but some dwell on it still. You can always find the expats who prefer NOT to discuss politics or any other controversial topics.
You were asking about discrepancy with DL. Years ago the length of stay in the country was 3 months ergo the DL was same. Since they changed from 3 months to 6 months they have not changed driver’s license to reflect same. Told to me by an attorney
stay for 6 months but can only drive for 3... I have seen that elsewhere... ah yes! the good old US of A... just get your DL convalidated and move on... oh and yes, welcome to Panama!
Great video, we are probably moving down this spring for 6months or so to see if we want to make it permanent, I am curious are they relenting on the COVID measures or they still pushing vaccination requirements and masks?
They are letting up on both.... I think the mask mandate for outdoors and taxis and such is about to lifted. I have not herd much else about the vaccine in a few months.

OMG. I was enchanted with the videos from Boquete, but no one has EVER mentioned SCORPIONS. OMG OMG OMG
Scorpions are mostly during the dry season, not all year.
The scorpions in Panama won't kill you but they can sting you. They aren't a huge problem.
Great video !
Thanks for the visit
How does this town compare to Vilcabamba in Ecuador?
Boquete is much larger and many more amenities compared to Vilcabamba
may I ask where did u live in Philippines, currently here now but loving these Panama Relocation videos and also the VISA options look much better there
thanks
Spent most of my time in Davao. Loved every minute of it....
I love your accent. I’m guessing you are from a smallish town in Texas.
Alright Alright Alright...
Vaughn how old are you? Are you retired?
Great video amigo 😊💯thank you for all the info on all your travels very interesting
Vaughn is in his 40s. He's not retired.
We are from Northern Cal and wondering what towns are well developed for a similar middle class lifestyle?
Thank you
Nothing in Panama will be similar to Northern California.
Hi 👋 so glad you moved to PTY. Can you mention the name of your AirB&B and your friends bed&Breakfast ..! Thank you. 🇺🇸🇵🇦😎
Thanks... The name of the bed & breakfast is Inn the Coffee Pot
This was great! I wonder if Vaughn realizes a sign of getting older is not liking cold winters since he mentioned age and pickleball. Hehehe. Seriously though, more helpful insight.
or, perhaps, when you live in a place where it does not get cold you realize you can LIVE BETTER!.
You should get in touch with The Nomadic Movement in Boquete!
Thats how I discovered Boquete and the Panama Relocation Tour video's from the Nomadic Movements TH-cam videos!
How would you compare Panama to the Philippines for single guy retirement ?
Philippines is going to be better for your single situation by far. Panama is going to be better for your comfort and daily living situation by far.
Great video.
Glad you enjoyed it

Some food is organic. Some food is not organic.
You can find all kinds of organic foods here in Boquete.... its not all organic but its not a big problem finding food that is organic.

What about good beef?
The driving law, that you can drive for only three months, is the same in the US. I guess, he wouldn't know that because he is a US citizen.
👍🏻
lol i have lived here for 14 years...Just Wait.
F YI,
They have the same driving rule in Houston. Your visa is for six month, but your driving permit is only for 90 days.
good to know

You will find those type's everywhere you go but that doesn't mean most are like that and some FB expat groups actually ban political posts.
Some expats left it at the border but some dwell on it still. You can always find the expats who prefer NOT to discuss politics or any other controversial topics.
