My mother was the abuser in my childhood and threatened that what took place at home wouldn't be told elsewhere or else. She covered her A** every which way. I know exactly how Lucas felt and no child should ever have to go through such trauma Boy or Girl Children are the Angles of the earth and why would an adult hurt them "BECAUSE THEY ARE JUST SICK" I moved out when I was 17 by that age I had already been abused enough. So I was still in school and couldn't talk to anyone about things. Like Lukas, I would have felt no one would believe me. Nor would they listen. I felt sick and had several flashbacks and I still have them now and then. Once Scared there is nothing you can do but bury it. But that only leads to more suffering. I am glad that Lucas had a wonderful Mother and Grandmother. I had a wonderful Grandmother but as she lived with us she wasn't allowed to say anything to her daughter about what happened. Anyway, I hope if this is a true story that Lucas will turn out fine and that the Creep gets put behind bars for the abuse he inflicted on the little boy. Good story, but I am unsatisfied to know nothing about what happens later. I still have a deep hate for my mother's wrongdoings. But both parents are now dead and I didn't shed a tear when they did die and I didn't attend the funeral. That was 10 years ago and I still have flashbacks and feel like if I could have only reported her to the police but was too frightened to do that. But foster homes in many cases are no better for vulnerable children. I am so happy Lucas dared to speak up. Also, I am Glad Marta was a good mother, not a monster. I felt sick for Lucas as the story was being told. I worried his mother would have a nervous breakdown. Poor GIRL! My mother was EVIL just like this GUY!
