I'm giving you a subscribe and like for the simple fact that you're the ONLY channel on YT that has taken the time to clearly outline the exact weight and size of EACH split shot that is used. I know I speak for many salmon/steelhead anglers
The great part about pegs, are you can peg the bead as tight as you like to! I peg my beads tight enough so that it holds firmly in place, but can slide without breaking the leader line. Thanks for your comment.
@@TheOff-roadOutdoorsman Not in NY. The sale of Small Lead shot is illegal in New York. The use of lead shot is allowed in NY if made personally or bought out of state. In PA and other states you can buy it in store. I’ve had luck purchasing from eBay or other websites out of state and having it shipped in!
It can be one of 2 things. 1. Casting too hard. You have to lob and swing your rig out. 2. using the same size split shot the whole way down your rig. If you start with big shot, and go smaller and smaller on your way down your line, it will get tangled less.
What dictates the weight of my float I notice that I have 3 options for weight I’m a little confused on that I’d be using small 2.5 gulp minnows and single egg and some woolly buggers 1/16 3/32 ounce
It's actually to much weight it's a set up for 10 plus foot of water in a pool or current. Where I live average pool is 5 to 8 ft deep and this set up is to heavy...one would have to alter it to condition

Thank you very much!
My question is once the fish bite the plastic bead then will the bead slide or is it tight enough for the fish to let go then take the hook? Thanks

I tried this setup. My sinkers keep getting tangled. Any help on why it does that.

Seems like a lot of shot
I like to do 10 to 15 split shot per rig. I know some guys use 1 to 3 giant split shot. All works. Up to your creativity!
Will you send me some rod holders my dog chewed mine up
