I live here at 8 Newtown and will address the positives and the negatives I see in the video. First - Vanessa does a very good job representing the property. She is ESL - and communicates well - even better off camera. The pool at 8 Newtown is the best pool in the Philippines - show me a better one. The best thing about the pool is the "coffee shop" nature of meeting and greeting expats from all around the world. I've met and have become friends with hundreds of good people in this pool. The view of the pool is not going away - by design. The pool is on the 5th floor and the museum across the street will be 3 stories. Beyond that will be a shopping mall that will also only be three stories. You will be able to look over them and see the sea view for ever. If anything the new construction will enhance the view. The units in the building as of summer of 2023 are selling around (7- 8 million pesos) which makes them an excellent option for buying long term. On a year to year basis you can rent a single or studio (same thing but with or without a bedroom wall) unit for less than $5,000 USD. - Did you see that? $5,000 for the whole effing year! That includes all the HOA fees. Only extra is you electric-water- and internet bill - which comes to about another $100 a month. Why do you want to live in this place with this pool? The pool is a chick magnet. Let a woman know that you live at 8 Newtown - with the world famous 60 meter infinity pool - and invite them to come over and swim and take selfies - and you're guaranteed a goodtime. Our group of expats is friendly and invite all comers to chat in the pool about anything - and anything is the usual topic.
This is really Great Info and I must say I was very impressed with the whole complex and the location. Thanks for the great info and Thanks For Watching.
Yeah, prices nowadays for a simple unfurnished condo is not great. The time ro buy was closer to 10 yrs ago at 4 -5m., things now are way to expensive. What size sqm was it,?
I think it was maybe 30 sq meters. Need to check with the agent. Prices always go up. You always have the ups and downs in the market but I honestly think the Philippines is a good value in general . The country is really developing so its really a great opportunity for investment. Never have the attitude would have, should have, could have, Thanks For Watching
I thought it looked really nice, but I would be a bit concerned about future buildings blocking the view. Would be quite disappointing to buy for a view, then loose the view later on. Maybe that would not happen though. Would be interesting to know how earthquake/storm ready it is. Also how plumbing and electrical issues would be resolved. Those problems eventually happen. Would that be promptly addressed?
Vanessa is such a professional = @ 14:00 - she deflected his inquiry and remained in control of the showing. A weaker person would have folded and given the price right there - killing the momentum of the showing. Not Vanessa - she's #1 in Mactan Newtown.
Yes these are nice units. The agent info is in the description and she can answer more detailed questions. Beautiful complex. Thanks so much for watching
I get $3,737.00/mo Id love to live in fillipines indefinately, but internet says I can only visit for 30 days. How are Americans living there for months? Please tell me. I'm 44.
You can enter the PH on a "tourist visa" for 60 days. You can renew for another 2 months while there. You can renew this way for 36 months - then you must leave for a day or two and come back to start another 3 year stretch. They want you - they want your $3700/month money - do don't worry. For that much retirement - you can liver anywhere - and do anything you want - and have a smoking hot 9/10 girlfriend as a live in companion. Dead serious.
Same sales speech : the view, the view ! and there will be many new projects built all in front of us... ... and there will be no view anymore ! 😅 as always, if you are not in the very first line to the sea, you can always expect giant building blocking your view in the coming years.
Grossly overpriced for what you get Facilities on site poor, look at massive empty spaces Cater much more for Japanese and Koreans , not for westerners You get better value for money nearby
Hello Mark, I saw many westerners at the complex and I liked that everything was within walking distance. I definitely didn't think they were grossly overpriced. If you think thats grossly overpriced check out the prices on the California Coast or Hawaii.. I appreciate your feedback. Thanks For Watching
American Ignorance - I live here - Its the cheapest option for good living with a grocery store next door to your lobby. No transportation costs - as you walk where you need because everything you need - is 2-3 minutes away walking.
@@murrayspiffy2815 Maybe not only american ignorance but Ignorance of citizens of over 200 countries of the world exept for Japanese and Koreans as suggested. We will see if 10% discount will be enough, it would be a big surprise for me.

I'm very impressed by Vanessa's presentation.

Yea. I agree.. Just RENT instead of buying. No reason to buy for 125k usd. When you can just rent for 5-6k usd/year.
Gotcha, rent would be the ideal way to go.
Yes, you're right , that's the way it is.
You and Vanessa made a good team. She's very good at her job.
Vanessa is a great real estate agent.. I cant say enough good things about her.
Vanessa is a friend of mine. She's friends with everyone on the Blvd.
That is reasonable. 😊
This is crazy expensive after all those added payments.
Thanks for watching
No comment lol 😂

What's going in is a mall and a museum - both shorter than the pool. Both may improve the view actually.
I think they had broken ground on it

Vanessa is a great agent and I must agree with you. She is an incredible agent with lots of knowledge and skills.
Do the units have aircon?
Yes those units are really nice and the township has everything right there. Grocery store, School, Drug store, restaurants.Etc, Thanks For Watching
How much is a one bedroom
Hi Edcamp, The agent info is in the description. You would need to contact her or your agent for updated pricing. Thanks For Watching.
How much is a parking spot
Parking fees and hoa fees?
so your beachfront views from the condo and pool area will be covered by a new development in the shore line areas which takes your views away
I really don't think so but you need to verify with the developer or agent
👍👍
Thanks Marian
How much would a place here be on the top floor in US dollars?
Hello brightside, Vanessas information is in the description and she can give you more updated and detailed information., Thanks so much for watching

2 air cons in each unit - costs about 5,000 pesos a month to run them most of the time.
