Re-downloaded WoT yesterday. Hopped into the store, saw this, and bought it. I personally think it’s one of the best-looking premiums. Played it and bounced a ton. Won my first game back playing this, so that was cool - though it was mainly due to my team and not some brilliant play on my end. I was very average while getting the feel of WoT again after playing so much AW. Great review!

You dont have to spot arty in the very beginning. Lights only have to spot the vanguard. Arty is useless without spotters and if used properly, lights don't have much to worry about from arty
Sadly no, I have been checking with a few people but no one that I interact with knows the cap well or has any info. Someone posted a thread on WOT forum but no one there had heard anything either. I just know from his vids that he has had serious health issues in the past and a relative of his was in and out of hospital recently so I hope he and his family are OK
Check the armor model for the T29, it appears they went and modeled the rangefinders in, they have armor values now (around 50mm to be exact). I thought I must have missed an update during my break from the game (when t10 lights were released), it may be time for another break.
I use the cola, gun rammer, brothers perk, and vents. I ususally play Russian heavies so I'm used to the "blind" tanks. This tank is really good. Haul down or ridge lines are really good for this tank.
I thought the new monster tanks woulda coaxed the Cpt out of whatever hole he was hiding in. Welp I guess he's dead then. We tankers salute you cpt beardface!

I'm cool with everything but the slowing of the reload. Not necessary for it to barely fire faster than T34 w/ a 120mm . They made it heavier = track and turret traverse. Did they make the shells heavier as well ?? Or perhaps it comes w an anorexic loader that can barely lift a shell....
I can still shoot it in the drivers machine gun. It's a nice tank. Has more advantage in a city map than a standard t29. However I can side scrap my t29 just fine. This tank helps when being rushed by mediums. Nothing helps against lights with big guns.
I absolutely love this tank! Aesthetically it's probably my favorite. Also, I have never gotten so many ace tankers with a single tank before. A lot of satisfaction with this fine machine!
I took almost 50 hits and bounced over 40 ended the match with just under half hp and took home a high caliber and mastery badge. I love this tank, I just feel the side armor should be moved forward. I don't like the front of the tracks being exposed
Capt Why does Console get a worst version of the Nomad Somua versus the PC version? Console reload time is 47s and PC is 35s. Reload time difference is huge !!! Why ? It seems to happen over and over again where the PC premium version is better. Sucks
I find it hard to even compete with this tank in a Tiger l and it just seems like it'll bounce everything. Tf was Wargaming thinking when they added this?
-Hey Cap and other viewers, Great informative video as always Cap, been a sub for quite some time and I have always enjoyed your commentary, however this new tank, frankly is disappointing for me. The Minuteman is just another reskin with added benefits, yes there are some stat differences, but adding spaced armor and a few stat changes to a really great tank makes kinda of an overpowered premium. Combine this with the Chrysler K, Defender, AMX M4 49 and a few other overpowered premiums that have entered this game and you now have a blatantly pay-to-win game, it’s really too bad. I have been playing this WOT for 3 and ½ years and it has changed a lot in that time. I don’t even really mind the reskins except for the fact that there are just too many. I mean really, do we need 3 premium Centurions, yes I’m counting the sneaky Swedish one, 2 AMX M4 49 heroes, 2 Tiger II heroes, and probably like 8 premium Shermans. Premiums have a place in the game, I understand that, and Wargaming has to make money as that is the point, but they never think about any long term ideas, idk like maybe improving the mechanics of the game, adding new multiplayer game types, or helping out new players to be able to learn the game. Let’s be real the tutorial for new players is garbage. Wargaming always takes the easy way out and instead try to make as much money from their players by adding these overpowered tanks for people to buy so they can stomp on everyone else. What they could do instead, is make it so that new players are welcomed into the community, believe it or not this use to happen back when I started playing. I remember vividly having to learn the weak spot strategies and other ways to take down the T29, T34, IS-3, IS-6, Lowe, Tiger 2, Matilda, and KV 1 thru 4, I would watch tank reviews and talk with teammates to figure the strategies to take these vehicles out. I don’t see this happening now though. If I roll out in my tier 6 or 7 heavy or medium, I am constantly fighting these overpowered premiums, and it’s an uphill challenge. Their weak spots are microscopic and with corridor maps it’s hard to flank sometimes, especially if you do not have the mobility, (Churchill and Black Prince players know exactly what I’m talking about), so naturally this resorts to just the premium spamming, which sometimes doesn’t work and just spends silver. I can’t imagine the frustration and anger for our new players in their tanks, who maybe don’t know or don’t want to fire premium ammo. I just want to say to some of the new players that the game never used to be this way. My advice to anyone new or frustrated player is try to play arty or light tanks from time to time. I have found that both of those can still be a fun challenge, even if the rest of the community don’t like you for it. I personally, feel arty and lights are needed for balance and to combat premiums like this. I think if the community unites on these issues and just don’t buy these overpowered tanks, then maybe console will survive in the wake of the complete chaos seen over on the PC servers. Otherwise we may just stop playing all together, which would be unfortunate.

And when the enemy drops off radar try to guess if they went left, right, forwards, backwards or stopped. It fills good to support your team, but depending on the maps it’s difficult. Am at Tier 9 German Arty need 100,000xp for my first Tier X Arty.
I have my M40/M43 still stock, but I'm not as good at arty as I probably should be, I just feel that these premiums make the game more difficult for the people who have a tough grind at tier 7, Minuteman vs me in my black prince is so frustrating I had to stop and play arty again, I just dont want new players to stop playing altogether. Thats all.
I'm rather shocked they released a premium T29 and its not op. The model looks amazing and I don't mind the barrel. Its not like the Warlord Panther, with Gold on every other part of the tank.
Please don't copy him and use a vertical stabilizer on this tank.....it makes zero sense. If you fire while moving whatsoever in that tank you WILL miss 9/10 shots. Get hull down, fully aim your shots and nuke everything dumb enough to get within your range. Engage at the longest range you possibly can because the number one way to beat that tank is to rush it and circle of death it. Gun rammer, vents, coated optics or binos.....any other setup is handicapping yourself heavily.

Each person has their own points of reference. :) For me, it will always represent the Gadsden Flag. :) I have this tank because i retired from the U.S. Army National Guard, and as an Artilleryman, so, to me, this is just begging to be mine. Ha ha ha. Now, if i can just get better at playing Heavy Tanks... and, while i have a handful of Tier 6 tanks, this is my first Tier 7 (that i am going to keep). While I don’t like these reskins, the only way to get WG to stop making these is to get players to stop buying them. It’s not WG’ s fault, it’s the potato player base we have that keeps putting money towards these tanks.
If you know what you're doing, its a very capable tank and can last longer due to the extra bit of armor on the front when you snipe early in the game. I prefer the Tiger P over the regular Tiger.

It's the same story as every single tank like it in the French line. No surprises. Terrible armor, terrible gun handling, terrible all around everything but it has that autoloader and a little bit of speed so you can do what most people do in them and rush somewhere, dump a clip and die in seconds. Or you can go Batchat in it and do the same process except you barely survive, get ammo racked and spend the rest of the match trying to snipe with an awful gun and hiding until the end where you rush around and steal the kills other players actually used skill to earn and collect violent post game messages.....you know, that ole Chestnut.
Lucidrequiem Bad handling? Depends on your crew skills. If you invest in most aim perks, you won't have much trouble. French tanks are actually opportunists, going rambo without necessity will only get you destroyed. Analyze the battlefield from the shadows, take advantage of unaware targets, patience while firing, never eat more than you can chew and don't hesitate to pull back. Both autoloader likes work best at medium to long range as active, highly aggressive supports. Honestly, if you say french autoloading guns are bad, you're either clearly doing something wrong or they're simply not your cup of tea.
Awesome video as always but now a little pointless for me as i just quit over the Bogatyr op theft. Probably means I'll be watching less of your vids as it'll be kinda like a slap in the face haha. I will however be looking forward to your other game content, although that seems to have slowed down at the min :-( lol.
I think they pretty much have. They are killing off the community contributors for the game systems, combining servers, wait times are longer and any time I try and play a tier 6 tank I'm stuck into tier 8 games.
Richard Sveum its a dead game imo. I have played it since 2014 and in 2017 i quit. And i highly regret spending around 2000 hours in wot combined with PC, Xbox one and 360.
just another op pay to win tank, wot has got really bad unplayable for the normal player you must pay tp play now. not just the premo tank but you must use premo ammo and consumables... the game is fooked now
Non skilled players: fired at spaced armor. Minuteman: takes zero damage, and proceeds to engage. Non skilled players: load premium rounds, shoot spaced armor, tracks, and does damage to minuteman. Minuteman: dies. Non skilled players: meet t19. T19:blasting non skilled players to pieces. Non skilled players: spamming and bouncing their arsenal. T29: earns the pools medal. Non skilled players: complain to wargaming, that the t19 needs to be nerfed. Wargaming:the t29, t30, minuteman have similar armor. Only difference is that the minuteman has better spaced armor. An also get good at shooting weak spots. Non skilled players: proceed to buy gold/credit (4500 credits) ammo. Premium teir 7 minuteman player, t29 player, t30, request buff. Wargaming comments "get good;" then continues to buffs the snot of the Soviet tanks. Wargaming: releases buffs that only imply to teir tanks.

This tank is nasty. You can easily hold your own in any match. Arty is it's biggest weakness. Hug the terrain and side scrape.
Breezy Mods true, but they usually don't though. I need people to 'toon with. Players that know the role of the tank they're using.
The role of a light is to spot. If they cant handle that job maybe they should pick a different tank,TD, or arty

I got it today and in my first battle with it I deflected every shot and took out three tanks in two minutes, it’s a beast when you know how to use it

I blocked 11,000 damage one time, 84 shots where taken at me with this thing.
Another skill that can affect DPM/Reload time, is Adrenaline Rush.

If you know what you're doing, its a very capable tank and can last longer due to the extra bit of armor on the front when you snipe early in the game. I prefer the Tiger P over the regular Tiger.

Paul Schauer Yes unlock it in the tech tree.Premium is pretty much to make silver and train crews so ur better of unlocking in-game if u want a bare bones version.

It's the same story as every single tank like it in the French line. No surprises. Terrible armor, terrible gun handling, terrible all around everything but it has that autoloader and a little bit of speed so you can do what most people do in them and rush somewhere, dump a clip and die in seconds. Or you can go Batchat in it and do the same process except you barely survive, get ammo racked and spend the rest of the match trying to snipe with an awful gun and hiding until the end where you rush around and steal the kills other players actually used skill to earn and collect violent post game messages.....you know, that ole Chestnut.
Lucidrequiem Bad handling? Depends on your crew skills. If you invest in most aim perks, you won't have much trouble. French tanks are actually opportunists, going rambo without necessity will only get you destroyed. Analyze the battlefield from the shadows, take advantage of unaware targets, patience while firing, never eat more than you can chew and don't hesitate to pull back. Both autoloader likes work best at medium to long range as active, highly aggressive supports. Honestly, if you say french autoloading guns are bad, you're either clearly doing something wrong or they're simply not your cup of tea.

I think they pretty much have. They are killing off the community contributors for the game systems, combining servers, wait times are longer and any time I try and play a tier 6 tank I'm stuck into tier 8 games.
Richard Sveum its a dead game imo. I have played it since 2014 and in 2017 i quit. And i highly regret spending around 2000 hours in wot combined with PC, Xbox one and 360.

just another op pay to win tank, wot has got really bad unplayable for the normal player you must pay tp play now. not just the premo tank but you must use premo ammo and consumables... the game is fooked now

Non skilled players: fired at spaced armor.
Minuteman: takes zero damage, and proceeds to engage.
Non skilled players: load premium rounds, shoot spaced armor, tracks, and does damage to minuteman.
Minuteman: dies.
Non skilled players: meet t19.
T19:blasting non skilled players to pieces.
Non skilled players: spamming and bouncing their arsenal.
T29: earns the pools medal.
Non skilled players: complain to wargaming, that the t19 needs to be nerfed.
Wargaming:the t29, t30, minuteman have similar armor. Only difference is that the minuteman has better spaced armor. An also get good at shooting weak spots.
Non skilled players: proceed to buy gold/credit (4500 credits) ammo.
Premium teir 7 minuteman player, t29 player, t30, request buff.
Wargaming comments "get good;" then continues to buffs the snot of the Soviet tanks.
Wargaming: releases buffs that only imply to teir tanks.
And rather a mapped video for the hesitation and lack of knowledge.
