Pretty late to this review, but I consider Se7en to be a serial killer thriller mainly. Heavy on police procedure and a social commentary on the decaying of society. Longlegs swayed FAR more into the supernatural/occult whereas John Doe was totally averse to anything that deviated from his extreme (and distorted) interpretation of Christianity
@@imaneightiesbaby yeah, the serial thrillers walk the line and are debatable. The fact that this one veers more towards the supernatural makes it easier to classify as horror. I still consider Se7en a horror based on tone, but can appreciate the other side of the debate for sure. Makes for fun conversations, haha.
It was a strange movie but overall enjoyable . Glad that its doing so well.
